I really hate these threads..and try to avoid them. The flip side is..I feel like if I sit on my hands and ignore it, then group mentality sets in, and the whole thing becomes okay. It really is not if you want to continue to see american companies design and innovate their products.
I met to say "I don't".

Ok, in my opinion these are GREAT headers. Also, in my opinion we are going to have to agree to disagree, your never going to convince me that buying $1400 headers is a good investment and vise versa. This argument could go on forever with both sides making valid points. Let's just stop now.

The fact is, im REALLY happy with my purchase and have zero regrets.

I am glad you got headers you like. And please do not take my post as personal. If these were not direct basically mirror images of the headers I sell..I would never say a word. Unless an American company makes headers in China, the only way you have to compete with $400 headers is educate customers.

Matt, how much more do they hang down you think than the stock exhaust? My main concern with getting headers is hanging lower and scraping on stuff. Take a pic from the side underneath if you can and don't mind. Thx.

Here you go! I took these real quick, sorry about the dirty garage floor..lol.

The lowest part of the car I could find was the front subframe at 4-1/2". The cat is at 3-1/2". The frame rail is at 5". I'm lowered 1" with Hotchkis springs. Hope this helps!

BTW, I love my new MacBook Pro which makes this stuff super easy to post, It was definitely worth every bit of the $1300 I spent. Seriously, think i about that...lol.

Thanks! Didn't figure you'd do it last night, but that's awesome! Not bad. I'm not lowered and I don't really plan on it, so I think I'll be ok. Ima measure mine this evening. All I have is high flow cats/mid pipes. Ground clearance means a lot to me. So you paid $600 for headers and cats?

its either these or the doug thorleys for me. They are both great in my opinion I just like the doug thorley's a little more because you dont have to weld the offroad/high flow cat to the stock pipes. Great write up OP, and I totally agree with you on the price deal dont see why companies feel like they have to mark up something like this so much probably because the 5th gens are still new and they think they can overcharge.

Thanks man! Yea, I don't really understand the high price headers. I remember buying hooker and hedman headers for $200 or $300 for my old muscle cars and they were good quality american made stuff!
This system required NO welding or cutting it is %100 bolt on. It uses the factory clamp to attach to the factory catback.
