Is it OK to run this breather without a catch can on a single front mount turbo setup? I currently have a open breather with no check valve and have some odd starting problems every now and again.

Sorry to thread jack.

Because that unmetered air winds up in the combustion chamber without the MAF seeing it. It is the make up air after all and why the opening is after the MAF and before the throttle body. All anyone has to do is throw a filter on, give the LTFT's settle in for a 100 miles or so and scan. Fuel trims that were near zero will wind up positive 5% up into the double digits, depending on the breather being used. The good news is this can be tuned out.

Here is my tesing. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=observations Tracy said this was well within acceptable range for the LS motor.

Yeah there is...to modify it to work like the ECS. Lol
I bought one...changed the valve in the cap to only exhale instead of inhale. I figure it as a fail safe...if enough pressure built up to need to escape it could there. Mine at the drags trip flows a bit...but not enough to leave residue on anything other than the filter really. I run a dual elite can set up though.

Because people need to feel good about an $8 oil cap and a $12 breather that they paid $80 for...?
