Well he said it's the first time on the drag strip, lets see a new driver in a mustang GT and see what happens. Loved seeing the white one on the track, this is getting me anxious again. Thx for posting!

For all the hype and the money, I would have thought the ZL1 would be a lot faster, my '39 Chevy coupe with a LT1 went faster than that...........................................

Nice to see some raw footage of the ZL1 in action with everyday drivers at the wheel going down the strip in a 6-speed.
I'd like to know what the rear gear ratio is in the ZL1. This coupled with a 6200 rpm rev limiter may be some of the key factors on holding this 4100 lb/580 hp car back from dipping in the mid to high 11's bone stock. The 118-119 mph trap speeds in other tests show that the power is there at 4100 lbs. I'd be curious to see what gear and rpm more experienced drivers are crossing the traps in in the mag tests. My guess is that it is no where near the 6200 rpm rev limiter. That rev limiter is going to hurt on the strip and street against cars with similar power and weight that can shift at 6500-7000 rpm. This car has a low 11 second potential with a 1.6-1.7 sixty foot (slicks), in good air (negative DA). I dont think you will see it in a 6-speed though. The auto should be interesting. I can't wait to get my hands on one
