After I asked about tieing to the Halo's I also thought it Would be better to keep scanner separate. As far as Dan responding or anything even I have lost faith and confidence in him. That is why I asked if anyone was willing to be kind and generous and part with their remote, so maybe I could re program it and my light would work properly.
This would be just like the "pay it forward" thread on the members section.

I put mine on a switch since the first one had a bad LED, the same one that stayed on after a rain. Dan sent me a replacement and it's been working ever since. I also don't like the AAC one as much but if mine fails I may ave to buy that one or make my own from ebay kits. There's a ton of them.
I think Dan is a good guy, just got in over his head when the company who was making it for him ran into trouble and couldn't handle it himself. But I agree, he should have just posted and explained.

How long ago did Dan send you the replacement? As I stated In earlier posts my light works just the remote won't control the light.

My light decides to work every now and then. Most of the time it goes into over temperature protection mode from the drive to a car show. After over temp. protection ceases, the red light stays on which means the LED scanner is on. However, the LED's ate actually illuminating. So, I tried a bunch of different ways to get it to work. What I came up with that worked was holding down the first "pattern change" button and the "speed" button at the same time. Then, the end lights on each side of the scanner illuminate. Then, I can get it to go into show mode. After that, I'm able to cease it from show mode and put it into normal mode and choose my pattern and speed of choice. It's almost like I have to wake it up or snap it out of a funk of some sort, lol. This situation doesn't happen ALL the time, but a majority though.

Does anyone know where i can get another one of the connectors at the end of the ribbon cable that connects the light to the controller? Or does anyone have one that they are willing to part with? I have the AAC setup as a last resort....just not feeling the cutting my car deal to install.

I am right on the verge of installing my AAC one. Not there yet. The cutting is nothing since putting on 3d carbon fender vents. SHould have seen the cuts with that : >) Even if you didnt like the scanner from AAC the knight scanner would cover the holes cut or the OEM mail slot would cover. From what I understand you dont see once AAC is installed either. I am holding off until I get the wiring right so to show a status LED like the Knight rider one does.

You should be able to Canabalize the Knight Rider Harness for the status LED.

Blk-Ice. Are you talking about the black piece that you "crimp" the ribbon on? I can get ahold of a few of them if so. You will have to give me a few days and them send me your address. I will check the computer store I got a few extra from before.
If anyone is doing cannibalism to their knightrider light I could use a remote to try to re- program to my light.
