Just one as close to a curb as I can get without scratching the wheels. So really sometimes i'm only technically taking up half a spot. Oh, and i try to park next to employees cars sometimes at the grocery store. Away from the cart returns and on an uphill slope

I can't stand people who take up two spots.

It just depends where we are at. If its like Wal-Mart then I will only take one by next to what I call a Save-a-door (like a curb or island thing out in the very back of the lot), but if we are at a place like a restaurant i will usually park WAAAAAAAY in the back in two spots. One time i parked the wrong way in a parking spot and two douche bags parked on each side of me so close that i couldn't even get in my car. I had to sit there and wait for them, when they came back I was like "What the hell are you doing?!?!" They just got in their cars and drove off, with some pretty nice key marks all the way down the side. I WILL NEVER PARK LIKE THAT AGAIN! Haha, but two spots every so often is okay.

I guess the general conscientious is that parking far away, but in one spot, doesn't draw the same negative attention that parking closer to the building...in two spots...draws.

In my opinion, parking in two spots is like putting a big sign on your car that says: "Hey everyone, over here...come damage me!". I myself, would never go after a car parked in two spots...just because I don't do that...but it just isn't worth it to me to ever try parking that way.

One spot only for me.

I was at the dry cleaners a while back and there was a porshe parked perpendicular taking up the three spots right near the door. I made sure to park as close to him as possible blocking him in so he was stuck there, feeling like an idiot until I got back.

one preferably way out(i'm not lazy and i do like to walk anyway) and against a curb(unless there is a sprinkler system than i won't) i used to take the 3 spots way out but after you have a camaro vandalized and a trans am stolen you learn that it's only a material object and it can be ruined at any time or taken away from you so just enjoy it while you can and don't be anal about it it can ruin your blood pressure lol

I still don't get the comments about taking up more than one spot leading to property damage. I mean, really....If you have property damage to your car after taking up more than one spot, then the person committing the act either knows you or thinks he or she knows you. I don't know anyone who would intentionally do damage to some random strangers car because they took up more than one spot. Is this an offshoot of highway road rage? Do people have parking lot rage? I don't think so. That is juevenile and rediculous! With all of the security cameras in parking lots today, it's just stupid to do damage to anyone's car anyway, unless you want to find yourself in court paying for property damage.

Just my thoughts....

Why do people throw eggs at others cars or tip cows? People do mean things to people they don't know every day. There are some that have no respect for other peoples' property and don't have a moral backing to care. These people will sit on someones car as a bench, or they will walk through someones flower patch because it's quicker, or plenty of other analogy's. Not knowing anyone that would do that just means you are better at selecting your acquaintances than some.

Security cameras that point into parking lots rarely have the quality that will allow for face identification, especially when you're far away from them.

I've seen people park others in that park against the lines. Thing is, as mean as it was, they never did damage to the person. They just parked in the spot (within the lines) in front and behind the car.

Besides, someone can still park next to a car if it's taking up two spots. Will the driver of the first car get mad at them for doing so? If they do, should we call them hypocrites if they see nothing wrong for doing it themselves?

I have seen this before and it is relatively harmless, but to do damage....I am not so sure that this can blamed entirely on someone taking up more than one spot.

I find it funny when someone takes up more than one spot. Funny in that I know the sense of pride they have in their car, whether it is a brand new Camaro or an old beat up pinto. You don't have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to have pride and want to take care of your stuff. I give those people a great deal of respect and have parked close to a car that parked out in the boondocks just for the fun of it. People have done the thing to me. Usually, if someone does that, they are not going to ding your car. They are just having some clean fun.

One and only one. Don't be a dick and take more. That's just asking to get damaged.

Buddy in high school used to park diagonal taking up two spots in his new Civic. Until some one keyed "LRN 2 PRK" on his hood. He was LIVID, but we all laughed at him.

He only took up one spot after that.
