~10 years ago when I worked at a cadillac dealership, our installer would put the valet key (every caddy came with 3 keys, 2 normal and one valet) in the dash and use that to bypass the car's security system. Of course back then, they were all automatics.

And of course, half the time the salesmen would forget to send the extra key, and we'd have to run over to the installer's shop again to drop off the key.

Valet!!!! Lmao siq bro!! Such a laVisH jetsetter you must be. Id love a remote start on the 1le. Too bad it sounds like a pain :/ if I had a shop in my area id just throw money at em to install it.

No valet for me. Everytime I hear the word all I think about is that airborne 61 Ferrari GT in Ferris Bueller's Day off with those two guys big Ol grins. Besides, I like to hear that rough, racecar cold start with headers, so no remote start for me.

Hopefully we can get this thread alive again lol - after the harsh winter we just had I need a remote start installed - with the automatically lowering windows I sometimes can't get into the car because the windows are frozen and I hate forcing the door (I also refuse to use de-icers on my baby). What is the the most reliable system with a built in shutdown safety loop?

I just had one installed on my Pontiac G5 as I park my camaro all winter. Mine actually requires you to have the car running, Parking break up and hit the start button to put it in ready mode, then shut the car off, lock the doors and walk away. Kind of a pain to always have to put it in ready mode when I want to use it the next day, but what can you do.

So i have an aftermarket remote starter on my 2012 camaro 1ls. It locks, unlocks, remote starts, pops trunk, and all. But if I remotely shut it off (un start) my subwoofer (turns on..) full bore as a solid hit... can anyone help me with this issue? I am going out tonight to see if i can find where to wire the horn switch as well as the parking light switch. (As those are options that came with the starter). Any help is appreciated.

My 82 Datsun 280z did not have the clutch sensor... Had no idea till one day I went to turn the radio on from standing outside and reaching in and the car shot out in front of me... Scared the #^^% out of me. Ended up getting a remote start put in but did not use it much for fear that I may have left the car in gear.
