I'm sure some company out there is already working on a mail slot filler panel.
It will come in all factory colors and just snap right into your slot.

That way you won't have to worry that your new aftermarket hood clashes with your slot!

I don't see how that will look right. The hood bulge on both the V6 and SS Camaros carries all the way thru to the facia very subtly. The hood cutline actually rises up in the center. That one looks totally smooth across the front so I think it would be a horrible mistake to order it! And if it did have some hint of the old bulge's beginning it would look even worse!

You are correct, the lines of the hood are carried ,ever so slightly into the front facia, or they start there depending on your perspective.

We should have our working proto-type installed and painted in a few weeks so we'll see what it looks like then. I'm willing to deal with the minor issues at hand, in order to have a Stinger Hood on my Camaro.

Great news regarding the Stinger Hoods. ACS just sent me pics of the Prototype for final approval and it looks fantastic. They were able to accommodate the different angles and match the front facia as well!

We hope to have the hood installed and painted in order to be displayed at Bloomington Gold, the National Corvette Show and Auction in St. Charles, Illinois this June 25th thru 28th.

When the Camaro was first introduced, for the 1967 Model year Nickey was there to support enthusiasts with the parts and technology in order to, either build a Super Car for you or help you do it yourself.

Many of the parts we have developed and/or are still developing/testing with our Strategic Partners will be available either Directly over our parts counter, with the availability to be installed at our shop or through one of our Network Dealers.

Items such as :

Stinger Cold air Induction Hoods

Nickey Vinyl Stripe Kits

Nickey Engine Dress up parts, such as valve covers etc.

Nickey Cam Shaft kit

Nickey Heads

Nickey Intake

Nickey Crate Engines

Long Tube Headers and full exhaust system

Exhaust Diverters

Suspension Components

As well as a bunch of other cool parts and accessories too!

However only Camaros built at our Facility or by one of our licensed builders will become Serialized and Authentic Nickey Super Camaros.

Anything new on the hood. Will you be replacing fascia with the V-6 to eliminate the mail slot.

You must have ESP"N" as my kids would say.

The prototype hood is crated and being shipped today, directly to Route 66 Motorsports. Bill and his crew have the task of testing the fit and painting it so we can display it on our Nickey Super Camaro at the Bloomington Gold Corvette Show and auction this next weekend.

At this time we will make a necessary production changes for the final molds.

The hood has been designed to work with the slight transition in the front facia and the "mail slot". We will not be using a different front facia at this point.

I'm getting the vintage style wheels, redline tires, and stinger hood for sure, unless somebody comes up with the new BB hood first.

The hood looks great in general, but that center lump throws me off a little, Enough to be a deal-breaker for this hood in its current form. I can picture that lump standing out too much because it doesn't seem like it fits the lines of the car. I'm curious to see it on a camaro, so I'm holding all final judgments till I can see that. I would also like to see what this would look like with just that nice, big simple scoop.
