The Camaro wont be in cup... the reason is the factory roof height is too low.. thus requiring Chevy to increase the roof height on the cup car which does away with the plan of Nascar wanting the cars to be very similar to the street version. That was originally posted when the nationwide series went to the pony cars.....

Now, with mpg being the main focus in the car world... i would say the Malibu... its in the sedan line up like the other cars will be, itll focus on quality, mpg, and sporty enough to be a race on sunday, buy on monday car!... maybe a Malibu SS?

I would like to see GM bring back the Monte Carlo name in a 2Dr version of the new Impala platform.

That's a Caprice-based Caprice. It's not based on the G8/Commodore, in fact it only shares front doors exterior-wise with the Commodore.

Since they said new nameplate, I'm guessing the Caprice. It is already being used for police.

Not Caprice...editor at GMI just pretty much confirmed Commodore.

What the Chevrolet variant will be called is still up in the air.
