I agree, take a little pride in what you own!!! That is one of the big problems with this country today, no one takes any pride in their own possesions and even less respect for others.

that's why i always go for curb spots, and find the ones that put the next spot over a passenger door (when pulled in, not backed in) just to reduce the odds that i'll get a door ding. so far, this method works best. you're not out by yourself in no-man's land at the store to draw attention either.

I took my son to BOTCON, the Transformers convention a couple of years ago.
We flew from Richmond VA to Cincinnati OH , and we had a fine time.

Kudos for handling it the way you did. I would not have been as calm. It's not just the car we love, it's the pride about the work put into it. It's also not about the money, the $ spent on it pales in comparison to the experiences we have w/ our cars.

I honestly sympathize for the people who don't have that kind of emotional connection w/ their cars. Those people are dead inside, my car gets my juices flowing, and keeps me young at heart. It's my passion and an extention of me, not just a machine that gets me from a to b. I try not to let those people that don't understand this bother me. It's not compensation for any shortcoming, it's not reliving my youth, it's not a mid-life crisis. It's my car, I care about it and if you make the mistake of damaging it and show no consideration as that lady did, woe be onto you....
