Hey milkman, your car sounds so awesome. Great job doing it yourself. Was it more difficult than you expected? I also plan to do the same setup and thinking to do it myself over the winter months coming up but I will leave my heads stock. BTW, I have a full exhaust on my car with headers and a CAI and I had Speedinc tune and dyno my car and I am at 369rwhp.
I would really like to see and hear your car in person. Are you going to the car show in Volo on July 21st?

When I got mine dynoed it was 45 degrees so that is a big difference. In any case, 60rwhp is a nice addition and I'm sure it is beast! More important than the dyno numbers is the fact that you can easily achieve very low 12 in the quarter mile, better than the ZL1 and that's with Pzeros. Also, here is more info on the car show in Volo. Hope you can make it, if not I will need to run into you elsewhere to hear your car in person.

Hey Nick, why were you disappointed with the tables? Did you send the ECM to TSP and got it back alright?

I am curious about your disappointment as well, I am strongly looking at the vvt-3 myself.

When you originally said you only gained 60RWHP what did you start with? Just about every L99 I've seen starts out with about 315RWHP. Hopefully some of the posters are aware the stock 400HP is crank HP not wheel. And your numbers look about perfect for what you have done. I did a TSP cam, not VVT, in my L99, installed the GM High Performance heads, and SLP LTH's and 3" exhaust and ended up with very similar numbers. It makes a huge difference and the numbers really talk more at the track. The car is fast! I raced a Mustang GT with the 4.6 and a Vortec last night and we tied. So my car is no slouch. I'm sure yours isn't either. Btw, love the sound of your cam. Nice job!

When I said that I was replying to 1Camaro2SS he said when he dynoed his car all he had was full exhaust and cai and got 369rwhp by the same place where I got mine at so I went off that cause that's what I had before I did the cam cause I never dynoed my car with just exhaust and cai. Although today it was 76 degrees out with a nice breeze on a different dyno and I got 451rwhp which is 15 more than what I ran originally. Don't get me wrong I love my car and its unbelievably fast, and I'm extremely happy, but from the results Texas speed got on the cam were a lot lower than what I got plus I have ported heads. Now that I ran a 451 I'm a lot happier though lol
