Yes, I know. My point was that just by looking at the exh manifolds, the engine could be ID'ed it as either LS7 or LS9, not an LS3 as had been speculated in the post I quoted.

Cause they are all the same, from the outside. Its the same block for all small block LS chevy engines, just bored and stroked from the INSIDE to make it bigger. LS7 is 7.0L from the Z06, LS9 is 6.2L from ZR1, that can def be the engine if the supercharger was parted out and he got a new intake manifold, which is very possible.

Go to a car show, thats why all small block chevys look the same, makes it fun to see a big block, cause they actually look different. The small blocks are the same looking regardless of displacement, if you know what cu in the engine is, its probably because its written somewhere.

Personally I think it looks really clean to have come out of a wrecked car a couple years old, I assume it was driven at some point.......plastic caps, spark plug wires are brand new etc etc......

Wow, a number of you guys took this thread up the ass. Sorry for the confusion, but it was actually a 2010 c6 z06, not a zr1. I never said it was a ls9. Its obviously an ls7 set up, which is why i uploaded the picture. The motor will be modified and use the zr1 LS9 Eaton TVS. Hope this clears this up for some of you that were trying to act like chevy experts.

Its an LS7, you can tell by the accessory drive, intake, and oil pan (Dry sump)

The reason they were saying LS9 is bc like you said you accidentally said you got the engine from a zr1 (LS9) and not the zo6 (LS7)
But anyways that's awesome none the less

Now the OP changes his story. Never said it was an LS9. Just said it was from a ZR1. Doesn't even know that his dad ACTUALLY had a Z06. Yeah, that's the ticket!
