Well he did tell the truth because the salesman probably was lied to. If you decline I am sure they would give it to you. I know I would. We have a saying at our store "only bad things can happen between the hand shake and delivery."

IMO he was deceptive at least (at first) and that brings the honesty issue into question.Because of that alone and NO OFFER of compensation, I believe I would decline. They could call me if a customer wans to see it and if I wasn't busy I'd meet. They want to USE you to make money after your long wait????? They made their profit off of you and now its your car....should've been straight up from the start......besides I wouldn't want mine being pawed all over....and then they let somebody test drive it and...oops, we forgot you said no test drives??!!!! You can't take that back.

In this i wood call my boss and say i don't fell good and need to go home, Get to the dealer before your car is sold from under you, If after the car is in your name you want to let the dealer show it for 1 or 2 days that is up to you.
I don't care how good you know this dealer? for 10,000.00 over MSRP he will sale his mom.

GO get your car. Haven't you waited long enough for it.

If you don't the dealer's wheels will start turning the first time someone offers more for it. They may have called the dealer already and he's just waiting until that someone comes in with the cash.

Don't let greed by the dealer run it's course. Go get her...............NOW!

If yes it must be roped off. Personally if I agreed to it then I would have to have it for the first week and then I'd let them show it roped off while I drove their loaner Vette.

Tell him to lock it up, rope it off..you keep the keys and have them give you an 09 Z06 to drive for the two days and also get in writing that if they sell your Camaro you get to buy the 09 Z06 at the price that you were buying the Camaro for.

I say go sign the papers, and then have them throw in a cover, and take the destination charge off the tab. They won't let you keep the keys, i guarantee it. they will say something like, " you see. it's a liability thing." But, you can have them rope it off. Obviously there is no guarantee that they won't let anyone sit in it, but you have to use your your better judgement on that. Then you tell them you will be back on the 3rd day at whatever time you want and the car better be spotless. Professionally detailed and ready for you to take off the lot. No questions asked. Thats just my opinion though. Good luck !!!!
