i dont know that gold plating something that small , in 22 karot gold, would cost even close to 50g's. gold plating isnt that expensive and that emblem couldnt have taken that long to make. if it did take a while someone was sure milkin the job.

Yeah, a friend of mine who is a coin collector follows gold and all that stuff.

He said gold plating is NOT all that expensive. So that had to be mostly for the billet.

I've got NFS Carbon for PS3. it had a pretty sweet garage but you couldn't get the 5th gen camaro eventhough it was in the game. Is Prostreet better? They took down my Fav BT site Hopefully the Demon isn't dead.

I was hoping to see a camaro with a blacked out grill and hideaway headlights and a bowtie that is black with just a quarter of an inch of silver trim. I think that this will make the camaro even more menacing, given the fact that I want mine black on black with red piping on the interior and black wheels with a deep chrome lip. I figure between the color combination and the mysterious (hidden) headlights it will definitly be a mean looking vehicle.

If there were an option for hideaways and a black grill I'd take it in a heartbeat.

If GM doesn't offer it, I'm pretty confident some third party will. I wonder how many versions we'll see at SEMA in the few years after it debuts. It will be nuts.

I personally will probably have the logo removed on day one in favor of SS or Z/28 badging (depending on which performance package is available at the time). Chevy will probably have a choice like this as an option, I'm sure they know certain enthusiasts want this. But then again they are so proud of the car and its reviews that they may make it damn near unremovable.

I would definitely remove the bowtie from the grill and rear and replace with the SS badge. If the after market makes the grill with the SS in it, then great. If not I will try to fab it myself using the large HHR or Trailblazer badges on the front and replace the small badge of the rear corner in the center without the bowtie. Call me crazy but I am used to seeing the SS in the center just like my old chevy has been for the past 40 years. Respect the classics.

if that thing is 55k then that sure as hell explains why GM is going broke lol.
wasting a lot of money on something that looks the same as the production for the most part lol
