I would be utterly beyond pissed. Is the mismatched paint problem unique to IOM?

Why would they put the stripes on before the alignment issue is completed.

That's what I was thinking.

Nice pics..that combo was my 1rst choice!. Truck pic looks like the window was open, but tough to see the gap by the way the pic was taken(color hiding it). Looks like the top of the door needs to come out a little to align w/ the stripe. But very nice indeed. Congrats. Maybe we'll see you down south sometime..

Im sorry but when you look at these pictures back to back, the door simply looks open in the 1st pic. Notice the very top door crease?? How it goes under the fender? Thats just makes it look like its open a smidge. Then in the farther away pics the alignment looks spot on.

Plus, if the door was still not right, why would they put stripes on it knowing it wouldnt match up because the door was on wrong. The door stripe is on higher than the fender one so it still looks off but IMHO it looks dead on when you compare the body lines.

So tell me this. Your can can come damaged or defected and you HAVE to take that particular car?? I wouldnt execpet a defective or damaged car, I would insist on waiting for a completely new one. They want you to take a "brand new" car thats damaged and you have to have it FIXED????? What the hell kind of bullshyt is that?!?!?!?

I see your point on the window down door pic. All I'm trying to do is point out the there could be a fender alignment issue on these things as they come in.
I raised heck about doing the strip before they fixed the fender. But as of this morning, it is in perfect alingment and the stripe aligns perfect. So good to go. The body guys loosened the middel bolt that you get to behind the fender liner and the fender naturally slid right in place. Must have been tweeked a bit coming off the line, but no worries now.
I'll be on the road, waiting on accessories.

Anyone know what is up with the mismatched front color?
This is what edog had to say about the paint on his...

When I went into the dealership I was greeted by the Sales Manager who took me to my car. They were finishing up the installs of the accessories and making sure the interior was right. The car looked BEAUTIFUL! We looked it up and down, and it was amazing. The gold metalic flake in the paint just sets the color off. Most people say there is a color difference in the bumper and the hood. If so it was not noticeable. What I saw was the gold flakes were more pronounced on the bumper due to the angles when the sun hit it. Just AMAZING is all I can say.

I feel for you guys that ordered and get that I really do so here is what I am willing to do...

I am willing to taking that IOM manual 2SS/RS off your hands for supplier price! Yep! I know I am going way above and beyond here to help a brother out but it is the least I can do!

Please...thank me later

This thing is a real hot rod on the streets. Folks may appreciate this.
Jumped on the interstate, and as luck would have it, a patrol car was just ahead of me, and in a few minutes, coming the other way was another. He flipped around in the median (I was at 74mph), followed and when I signaled to turn around at the next interchange, they BOTH exited, one in front, one in back. Then as I headed back to town, they watched and let me go. This may be a babe magnet, but sure as heck a bear magnet!!
