"Ability to check diagnostic info/codes via the display is a common "secret" on many late model EFI cars, most time this procedure is not in the owner's manual. Service manual and/or word of mouth is how alot of these things get out...Camaro is likely no different. The procedure would be nice to know".[/QUOTE]

I haven't done it in a while but I think if you hold the config button for several seconds you can access the info/codes. After you get in, use the info button to scroll through the pages. Hold config button a second time for several seconds to exit. I'll double check to make sure this is the correct way.

Just checked and it works, but it only gives you info about the radio, nothing else.

What you are doing here is just resetting the average..works the same way on every vehicle that shows fuel economy. What you reset is the average. You are only seeing the average since the last reset, the longer you leave the average alone the slower it changes since the longer you go without resetting the greater the data for the average.

Yes if you unlock via the fob in low light conditions the lights come on...

This is what I thought happened to the fuel economy. The other option showing "real time" would be nice if it worked like that.

Turn the headlight knob to the left and release. The daytime running lights and automatic headlights are turned off but the dashboard lights still dim when shade hits the sensor. I haven't found a way to deactivate that feature.

Another feature is you don't need to hold the key while the engine is cranking. Just turn and let go. It will continue to crank until it starts.

I've read thorough some of the stuff in the GTO thread and have a feeling alot of the "hidden" features may apply to the Camaro as well, alot of the one mentioned are in the manual though.
This one may or may not be in the manual I've looked it over but not with a fine tooth comb...
If it has aready been posted let the flaming begin lol..
The radio will come on without the key being in the ignition...just push and release the button on the volume knob...

I’m with you on this seat attack thing Tommy. There are times I stand scratching my noggin trying to figure out the secret touch whenever I escort my kids into the back seats. Once the passenger seat sprung forward and I took a good left blow to the face. Of coarse, you may know that I forgave my car…

The SS has a automatic sunglasses dispenser.

Place them on the dash above the steering wheel.

Mash the right foot peddle and your wearing them.

Oh yeah..no kidding..duh...never noticed that. Well if you happen to sit there with the door open until it goes out because you are pushing all the buttons trying to find the secret code to expose some super cool feature and want to see the ODO again hit the reset or menu button lol.

I would really like to know if there is a digital tach feature hidden somewhere..have seen this on other cars and honestly the speedo and tach gauges are not very easy to glance at...so far I LOVE the Camaro(never thought I would say that about a Camaro built after 1969)...but with the wheel and seat in a comfortable position the wheel blocks the tach for me...
And,while I highly doubt this one is a hidden feature but...I think it is cool as heck they offer the factory launch control...how about a factory shift light...now that would be nice, either that or make the tach read to the digital diplay like the speedo does.

BTW did I mention the 2010 Camaaro ROCKS? lol...nice work GM!

For those of you that talked about getting a hold of the manual there was a thread from Tran with the manual pdf- I think this will take you to it.

I know that this has been the case on other GM cars, which makes it hard to change out the radio, but the really weird part is if you turn the hazards or turn signals on, they too play thru the speakers, which means there is probably no flasher in this car (a guess) and it's all handled by computer...
After reading this thread, I struggled to bump it to the top, but I didn't think this nugget was worth a thread of its own, and it's related to the post I quoted above. And I'm hoping that someone's found more secrets. I'm hoping there is a way to read DTC's through the DIC (my buddy's Magnum does that). Anyway...

I noticed that with the engine off and all the power off, with the hazards flashing, there was no "tink, tink, tink, tink..." sound. I thought it was odd, but figured "well, they don't have the hazards making any noise" That was until I started the car up to move it, with the hazards still flashing. Once the car was powered up, the "tink, tink, tink" sound also rang through. So the "tink" sound isn't actually the blinker control module relay chattering away, but a computer generated sound.

I thought that was rather interesting...
