You got to remember as George Bush once said, this is a room of the "Have's and Have More's". The separation of classes in this country has already begun. I feel bad for those kids that get everything handed to them, if they do not make it to the level daddy did, it will be a disappointing future.

And remember, to those "PARENTS" buying their kids this car, it is "JUST A CHEVY", it is not like a BMW or MERCEDES or anything!

There will always be people that will buy there kids the very best. All we can hope for is that they try to teach those kids the right lessons. So they can be productive adults and not live off there parents thier whole lives. When I was in school there was a set of twins that got new Trans Ams One is dead (car crash) the other is in jail.

Why do freaking 16 year olds Buy the SS... Is the 300hp to little for them do they have to have the TOP DOG

Freakin parents.... Lets Buy little Jimmy a 426hp Camaro
Lets not teach our kid the value of money lets just give him everything he/she wants in life

Not all young kids are dumb and stupid. My first two cars were camaros! I did my share of going fast but I was never dumb about it and ive never caused an accident.

The reason a younger person buys an SS is the same reason you would buy an SS. the v6 comes with 300hp (not RWHP) but its still a v6. That will never sound like a muscle car.

How do you know that they did not put their preorderd in way back in Oct. and waited in line like everyone else. That and why do you have to be so resentful. If you work hard you will have money to buy your family nice things. I think people got nothing better to do put get their panties in a bunch about this.

Anytime a 16 year old ends up with a new high performance car, my bet is they'll wrap it around a telephone pole or a tree.

The only time I would ever buy a car for a child is if they were struggling. Not struggling because they couldn't buy a car and have enough money to go to the mall. Struggling with too much school and then trying to work as many hours as possible...and still not coming up with enough money.

I would do and give anything to my child (in my financial power) as long as he/she is trying to help or better themself.

If you don't go through bad times, you never REALLY know what "good times" are.

I am 40 years old and my first car was a 1977 Ford Granada. My two older sisters had driven it before me when they turned 16. Anyone wonder where my hatred of Ford began?

I went to highschool in the woods where big trucks were the thing. When it came time for me to drive I wanted a nice truck SO BAD!! My parents could of bought me any car of my choice but they bought me a buick regal. I was mad at them for a long time and gripped about it longer than that. But driving that car has taught me alot. It taught me to be humble and grateful. Now when I get my camaro I think I will appriciate it more thanks to my parents

In my family it's ok to have a sports car just it's actually supposed to be a Piece of **** so that you learn to wrench and appreciate the car.

You basically get issued a 100,000 mile car and a set of tools and some manuals.

And are judged on how good you scrape gaskets off or put your tools up correctly (not loose them lol). etc.

That's a better way. Not a brand new high power car. Very few youth are mature enough to not do stupid things with it.
