I literally told my wife about a year before I bought mine that I would never buy one. I don't know what happened but one day when I was car searching (for 6 months) I saw an Ashen Gray Metallic sitting on the lot and was sold. I told myself I didn't need the V8 and that probably would have been the case until I found this site lol. Now I'm seriously considering trading mine up.
Oh and my wife LOVES these cars. She badly wants to get herself a fully loaded white SS/RS and she wants me to install RGB halos and grille lighting and basically do to hers what I've done to mine. Except she wants all the pink accents. I knew I picked this woman for a reason.Other V6 cars I seriously consider before purchase: Genesis Coupe 350z Accord Coupe G35 If this new jobs comes around I'll have an AGM 2SS/RS LS3 and a SW 2SS/RS L99 in the driveway by Feb. of next year. I'll be keeping the V6 for a DD/toy and it'll get Twin Turbo'ed by Tracy hopefully. |

I was getting tired of driving a crew cab Silverado around all the time. Slow, cumbersome, not fun. Bad on gas, too. Sold my ATV and never drove around with a load of people so it lost its purpose.
I drove to the dealer to buy a new airbag sensor and as I was leaving out I saw the Camaros lined up along the road. I always liked them, never saw one up close in person. I made my mind up and test drove some the next day after work. I also considered the Ford Mustang and drove one, too (V6/6 spd manual) but we are a Chevrolet family and I felt better sticking to our roots. Honestly other than that I didn't shop around for anything else.

I wanted a used, but built and stout 06 GTO with low miles. The guy wanted $22k. The bank would only finance $9k of it because of what they valued it at. Didn't matter that I had perfect credit.
So, I went to the my Chevy dealer and bought a Camaro for $40k after my upside down trade-in. Bank financed all of it. So, in summary, banks are Fning dumb.

Ive wanted a Camaro since 2006 when the concept was released. Back in 2008 I started looking. I was torn between a 2009 Stryker Blue Pontiac G8 GT or a 2010 Camaro 2LT RS. After Pontiac took the trip I went with the Camaro.
Best Decision. The one thing that was the hardest decision was the color. I started out with: Silver Ice Metallic with CGM Rally Stripes then changed to Victory Red with Black Rally Stripes then changed that to Aqua Blue Metallic with SIM Rally Stripes ![]() I never saw the ABM in person which scared me but I bit the bullet. Best Color IMO |

looked at a 2002 ZO6 but couldnt get a loan because it was older than 7. second was a 2006 C6 vette, but after driving the 06 corvette and the 2010 camaro SS i thought that the camaro was just as fast as the 06 vette. i know the 06 vette is faster but i didnt think it was by much. so long story short i got the camaro because of the extra room and the performance was much better than i expected compared to what i was looking at.

We drove a new Mustang GT the very night before we bought the Camaro. Just to say we gave it a fair shot. The next day at the Chevy dealer we drove the Camaro and took it home about 2 hrs later.

Yes and no, however I was actually more of looking at V6's as they were more in my price range. I also originally bought a '97 Chevy 3500 dually but decided to sell it to my dad once I bought the Camaro to help pay off the Camaro. I wanted a Camaro from the start, just the wife kept me in check for a while but the love was too much

Was waffalin' over a practical car/rig, like a 4x4 or what the heart wants. So when the latter won out, it was hows about a Vette? My best friend told me I wasn't a Vette guy and the SS Camaro does have a Vette engine, so I went for that. He and I actually walked around a Chevy lot and he was impressed, and this is a guy who HATES GM, period. So I order one, and then a month later the dlr calls to say he can't get it, ha. FU**er. My friend was all over me on that, and wanted me to buy a Mustang.
That is when I found my Camaro in Denver via the VIN tracking I learned when I was interning at GM Customer Service, same job that poor ba$tard Brandon has. Maybe one day I will get a Vette, but actually what I really want is a 1961 Chevy Apache pickup truck. It will look good next to my Camaro. Thank you. |

I had a 2000 Mustang and never even considered a new 'Stang. I was dead set on a Camaro. My ex had a '10SS and I loved the car moreso than the new mustangs.
And no, I didn't buy the Camaro because of him... ![]() I didn't see anything else out on the market that I was interested in like Camaro, so I got myself one.

08+ C6 Corvette. I was in the market for a used C6, but I could never find one that was realistically priced. Usually $3-5k overpriced compared to what other corvette owners on CorvetteForum were buying their cars at.. Always liked the Camaro. I happened to run across one at my local Chevy dealership. At the time of purchase, I would have preferred a 2SS as all I really wanted was the LS3 M6 Leather and 4 gauges in the console. Found out that I could add the gauge pack by lurking through this forum. After the test drive, I realized I could easily live without the leather. Now I wouldn't have it any other way..

Coupe for sure but that Sedan would sure have been easier getting grand kids in and out of car.
