It would really depend on how you tap in for your power source. The way you are instructed to by AAC is to tap into a power source that basically allows you to use them as your running rights. In turn, you will modify your stock bulb which disables the factory running light. In a sense they are on all the time when the head lights are on. Durning the day they are not active unless you overide the auto headlights and turn them on yourself.

Doesn't show anything about the wiring? How hard is that part. I'm definitely not an electrician. I may just need to wait til I can make a trip to new orleans and have all the lights installed there lol.

It's a no brainer. Comes with step by step instructions with pics. No splicing... just t-taps to grab power source.

You can also order pre-installed taillights from us. Basically you get a set of Camaro taillights with the halos installed (pay a deposit on the lights) and when you send back your old tail lights we refund the deposit so you only pay for the kit and installation.

I received my dual halo's for my headlights/foglights and my afterburners about two days ago and received no step by step instructions for them. I noticed my afterburner's came with four CCFL power adapters but I would have no idea or clue where to start the wiring for them. It would have been nice to get some instructions sent for the wiring.

You should have gotten a CD with video instructions with your headlight halos.

You should have received a CD inside of your package that has the instructions included. Please note that this is not a DVD; you will have to open the files on your computer using Adobe.

If you cannot open the files please feel free to PM me your full name, order number, and order location and I will get you the information emailed over to you.

These are the SMD afterburners, right? I am still wondering if I should go for the CCFLs or the SMDs? Anyone have an opinion either way for me?

I went back and forth myself because i did not want to see the led's so prominent, but u really don't. The flow together and are brighter. AAC is the ones that finally convinced me to go this way when i called. They said that the smd is a more robust light. Ill post another pic from a distance that i took during the day today. AAC said the also have the smd on their shop car.

LED halos from about 4 feet away (you can see here that they are fluid):

LED halos (on a Corvette) from about 8 inches away:

Ok. Thanks tons, man. You have no idea how long I've been studying the two deciding which I want.. And I think i'll go with the SMDs also.
But I love your Camaro, man. It's sick!

Although I haven't actually used/installed the CCFL afterburners, my recommendation is to go with the SMDs, unless you just really want the CCFL.

SMDs are:

-Easier to install
-no inverters
-Sticky back (you'll have to use epoxy to glue the CCFLs to the inside)
-Less fragile (LEDs instead of a bulb which can break, and then you'd have to replace the whole thing)
-Longer lasting (100k hours vs 50k (doubt this matters to most people though))

Pictures of the SMDs don't really do it justice at all, but I'm sure the same could be said for the CCFL. I honestly think that AAC should use a new comparison picture on their site. The SMD side makes it look like it has a band of light across the top of each of the lights, but it really looks no different than the CCFL except for the way the light is displayed.

Edit: Thanks again OP for your help!
