But yes, wave haha. I only have had a few V6's wave back, all of them were modded in some way. Hell my neighbor that has a V6 doesn't even acknowledge when I wave.

I see a lot of V6s with no RS package. They are mostly 2012 and 2013 builds. I love the look of the halos and wish I'd see more cars with them.

fuel economy, the 10k premium on the V8, and I'd even throw in "overkill" of the V8. for daily road driving, there really isn't an opportunity to take advantage of 400 HP. I think the V8 appeals far more to people who like to run competitively at tracks, and heavily mod.

For someone like me, the V8 would be pointless. I don't do either of those. With the V6 and 323 HP, if I stomp the gas from a standstill I'll be at the speed limit, and way ahead of every car in under 5 seconds................while still in 2nd. I simply have no practical use for another 90 hp. especially when it come at a price of 10-15k.

I totally get the people who like to track their cars. but for those that don't, I don't see the point in getting the V8

We're walking a slippery slope here with the V8/V6 comparisons...so let's keep it civil.

For me, I had the V6..it was a great car, but I came from a monster V8. I missed the feel of the over-the-top torque and the sound...mostly the sound.

I don't track my car and won't be heavily modding it either...but I love my V8 (except the freaking paint issues) because I like the sound it makes when I start it...and I do have some times where I can open it up a bit, though I agree 200% that 400 HP on the street is basically unusable...but isn't that kind of the point of a V8 car?

With that said, I do feel that every model of the Camaro is HIGHLY overpriced...even though I drive one myself. The interior is meh, the paint blows...it's really a $25k car with a $35k pricetag in my opinion.

But I do like the design and since I work at GM, well...there you have it.

If I remember correctly, the 2010 year figure was about 60/40 (60% V6's). The V6 number increased in 2011 and then again in 2012. It's probably about 75/25 now.

In my town the ratio seems about 2:1. When I bought my Camaro the dealer didn't even have a SS on the lot... and the salesman told me the biggest issue he has selling the cars is the V6.
