Different buyers, period, lets be honest here, someone looking at an SRT-8, anythingreally, is NOT going to be looking at a WRX. Yes options add weight, but in the Grand Cherokees price range these things are EXPECTED. And i guess someone with kids would want rear DVD players, that is why it is OPTIONAL on the Grand Cherokee SRT8...........

What is your mod list again? I think we are doing another one of one apples to hamburgers comparisons. Also, you bitching about the price of the JKeep compared to a WRX, a G35 is what 45k compared to a 30k Charger R/T Also the o9+ Charger R/ts should have no problems hitting a high 13, though the MPH is about right, though there a lot of 103s out there. What year was this Charger R/T? 08 or older?

Nice Killl, it was expected. Its hard enough for me to fight off a full bolt on tuned L99 so I couldn't imagine trying to do it on the stock tune. LT's and a Tune bring the L99 to life

He needs the driver mod then.... I pull 2.0x on bald street RSA's( they suck) and still ran a 12.9x... Your not pulling bus lenghts on SRT8's unless idiots are driving them... The R/T that your pulling on is the old 5.7.. The new eagle 5.7 is capable of low 13's... Your not fooling someone you knows Mopars.... Just sayin

If I did 2.0 or less 60 foot I would be in the 12's, as is if I just put some DR's on it I would be running solid 12's with my trap.

I only have a little port injected 3.5 liter V6 family sedan, those times and trap are much quicker then any stock 5.7 of any year. Aren't V8's supposed to be much faster ? I mean this isn't 1974. I don't even have a tune, just full I/E and driver mods. The DA was 1783 that night by the way, if you are familiar with 1/4 mile, this is key.

V8= Faster.... If I was to take your 3.5 and drop it in my 4200lb car, I would be running high 15's and if you drop my 6.1 in your G35 you would be in the 11's... You have to look at the weight, gearing, transmission, aerodynamics, peak hp & tq and don't forget the area under the curve. I know all about DA..... I live in Florida...
If your trapping over 106, then yes you have the edge on the eagle 5.7
I ran against a stock one ( don't recall the DA) he ran 13.20 @ 105.xx

Hmmmmmmm, now who could have that been.

I believe the DA was like +800 if I recall. Yeah, Both the Eagle 5.7L Challengers I had were running 13.2's stock. I did pull a 106 trap in the Mopar 10 once.

I took down an SRT Jeep with tune and exhaust on my SS. He at least had exhaust from what I could hear. He obviously launched better because of the AWD.

A Jeep SRT8 with NO OPTIONS starts at $60k, can easily get to $70k+.

It's the same speed as a BASE WRX for more then twice the damn price. Complete waste of $. Period.

-This is coming from an owner of previous Jeep products, they are all the usual overpriced Chrysler products.

You think I'm kidding ?
2012 Jeep GC SRT8

2009 Subaru WRX base

Sure there are times out there a few tenths slower and faster for both, but they have the same trap and ET given same track conditions, etc. The WRX will come out on top more in the real world though because not all of us live at sea level, the ECU in the WRX adjusts timing and boost for altitude. The Jeep can't do this since it's N/A. The higher up you go the greater the gap will be between both, in colorado springs the WRX should be a solid .6-.8 and 4-5 mph faster.

Shall we discuss the aftermarket where the 392's ECU has yet to be cracked as well ? The WRX can run 12's with less then $1k in mods, at any altitude.
60k for a jeep???????
