So to spin the tires you must power brake the car, or buy cheaper tires they told me. The P-Zero's will not spin. They told me sticks where doing burn outs but they are dropping the clutch from 2000RPM or greater to do it.

I am at 1500 miles and changed the oil and on a newly paved smooth road I have broken it loose and it chiped even hitting second. But you are not lose for very long.

Cheryl's final comment to me was, would I like to sit there and spin againts a Mustang or hook up and kick its ass? Camaro designed to kick its ass.
I really think that someone would rev it up much higher than 2000. My 68 with the 4:10 gears with Posi would smoke em but I dropped it at 4 grand and floored it. It would burn through first, most of second, leave a long patch in third and about six feet or so in fourth. That was with L60s. Man, it was loud with those tires screaming

It's the independent rear end too. It just adds to the grip. That does make sense about the tires being super sticky.

IRS doesn't add grip to a straight line launch. LOL

And I know people with drag radials in the same width that are able to spin them with less power.

I think the problem is a combination of gearing, large rear brakes, big heavy wheels, and TQ management.

Nope. It won't break loose. I'll try again in a few thousand miles and see if that makes a difference.

OK everyone? Wanna make a bunch of useless smoke?

Buy the cheapest high-mileage tires you can find with the lowest traction rating. Slightly overinflate (2-4PSI) Burn away. When you're done pasting rubber all over your rear fenders, put the right tires back on.

a few more L99 folks figure out how to "power brake" and i think you'll sell the rears at least....

and yeah, i'm about max launch and zero tire spin.....................

go buy some cheap hard rear tires and you should be good. but these are soft and sticky for max traction. unless you stand on the brake, you're gonna go!

I am not an A6 expert here but it does sound like that the ECM or PCM, whatever GM is calling it now, is pulling timing and/or fuel from the Torque Management limits on the A6 while you are power braking. I have spoken to many of the folks running the A4 when I tuned my LS1 M6 and apparently that Torque Management can pull timing and/or fuel when it senses to much stress from Torque at the converter/shaft area. This is why I stuck with an M6 because for me it is just to much trouble to modify and tune the A6 tranny to compensate for engine and gear mods and it posses a risk of prematurely ejaculating the tranny . The Torque Management is there to help the tranny last longer and when you remove it through a tune you expose it to excessive wear and tear and significantly reduce the longevity. However one could simply reduce the Torque Management limits and not Remove it, this would help with the performance without a total exposure to excessive wear and tear. I suppose if I had the A6 I would pop over to the Vette forum to see how they are handling this??? Just a thought for those A6 drivers who want better performance.
