oh yeah, some dealers would get rich
i´´f not wondered, that gm couldn´t sell any cars in europe the last decades
but otherwise to by M3...in europe you would need more than 100.000dollars

Go East! If you can read Russian or Ukrainian you will find the exclusive web-site to order your Camaro in Kiev: http://camaro.in.ua/ as well as other US-based car http://nextcar.com.ua/ The prices start from 50 k. (I guess LT1 or LT2)

It`s a pity that GM image and Shevy`s in particular was spoiled in the East of Europe or Europe as a whole. Ukraine produces the so called Chevy`s (Lanos, Aveo, Sens, Lacetti etc.) for a reasonable price. It`s true what Emher said: "Chevrolet Europe is a joke. Nothing but remarked Daewoo's." Furthermore I`ve noticed that those junks are coming to the US market.

I am currently in The Netherlands: prices are even higher for Coupe because of the taxes (motor volume esp.). I would like to have mine Camaro in the late autumn this year.

Advice: if you can, import yourself, remove some body parts and send 'em via fed ex, declare a 50 or 75% value (used and accidented car), and save on taxes. Remount body parts and save money

Oh boy, looks like I will definitely have to buy a Camaro before I go back to Germany in a few years lol.

Anybody in Germany want to buy a Camaro? I'll take care of it for six months and then send it over (Saves you the import tax. After six months it is considered "Umzugsgut" )

by the way, the camaro is also available at a swiss importer: for about 70,000 CHF (roughly $65,000 USD).

Hi all,

this is my first post here. I am also bummed that GM is not offering the new Camaro in Europe. The imports are just too friggen expensive. A 2010 Camaro that would cost around $22,000 in the US should cost around 15,800 Euros, thanks to the exchange rate. How in the world can importers sell them for such exorbitant prices as mentioned here in this thread?

I have lived for 9 years in the US and my very first car there was a white 1978 Chevy Camaro with baby-blue leather interior. I totally dug that car.

Now, back in Europe, I cannot stand the typical tiny (meaning narrow) cars everyone drives over here. Needles to say - I would love to have an American car, and my "dream car" happens to be the new Camaro.

Actually, I do have one US-car dealer near me, and he can get everything, but as usual, they jack up the prices like there's no tomorrow. He's got a Dodge Challenger on his lot right now for 52,000 Euros, which comes to more than $72,000... can you friggen believe it??

Cheers,
Rainer

So we should just not complain? It's been proven in the past that people from GM do read this site so it certainly can't hurt!

Wink ..there is also another reason guys..

..i have concret information that the camaros where planned as official GM-trade in Europe from end of 09.. because of all the troubles there is now a delay who picks even the us-camaro-fans... they are waiting up to 10 months after signature.. that's really boring.. the time-table for official GM-camaros in switzerland is now summer 1010.. an the pricing goes around 50K Euros for a fully SS... too much, isn't it?! i made the calculation and comparing for a order from a serious direct-importer and importing the beast myself...with all costs and taxes i could safe about 2K Euros if i would do the whole procedure (buy, fake-shortowner in usa, transport, incurances, taxes, swiss-conforming etc.) myself..so i think it's not worth all the times and all the stress... finally i found my dreamcar here by "fleetcar".. a black ss with ground-effects for round 43K Euros.. lot of money but ok for the car of my live..
