Why on Earth Euro spec got better looking taillights vs everywhere else is beyond me.

the first video with the taillights wired differently was a test, had to figure out how to get the turns and brakes working independently.

the US spec cars use the same array for brake and signal, Euro do not.

the way they should work is the ambers are turn signals, the outer red low is running lights and the outer red hi is brake lights.

the way i figured to do it is use the third brake light signal, since it doesn't have turn signal to run the rear brake lights, and run the front turn signals to the rear to operate the turn signals back there, since they do not have brake signals.

that should work fine, not sure how Ofer ended up doing it, but i suspect that is how, since we spoke at length on the matter.

the back up lights are that way on the Euro spec lights.

i was planning on splitting the turn signals and brake lights this summer, but ended up selling the car.

the strobe you see in the taillights can be fixed by adding some capacitors, another fix i was planning on adding this summer as well.

yes, i got mine complete, just had to build the harness.

From where? I just had a hit and run that left me with long deep scratches down my entire bumper. I am already stuck with the bill of buying a rear bumper, so if I can somehow make this a "mod" it'll make me feel 100% better.

they show up now and then, not often though.

if you are serious, i have mine boxed to go, but shipping will be a killer, and you'd need to get it painted unless you have an ABM?

IOM. I am not afraid to get it painted, because I'm going to guess whatever fascia I find will be primer anyways.

you can buy the harness from ofer at gen5diy, he will make one for you. my lights are different than sleez.....gm made 2 or 3 different types of euro lights for different countries. Mine work like the car that is in the video.

Either way, Sleez' original video or the actual Euro car way, they both look sweet. That reverse light only on the right-hand side just bugs me though. The asymmetry makes my OCD flare up.
