Its a Chevrolet. I bought mine for the looks. Better paint , lighter weight , more power , better fit , sure you can have all this , but for a lot more money. The same can be said for the corvette. The camaro and corvette are american icons and if you priced these much higher , they would be out of reach of most Americans. So Chevrolet cuts cost where they can and keep them within reach. I could have afforded something more expensive , but like i said , i bought mine for the looks.

Hate to say it but they all chip the same way be it a 1.8 million dollar veyron 200k$ show car with a 35k$ paint job or a camaro. It all comes down to how you drive and care for it. My 2010 ss has 42k miles on it and even it doesnt look as horrible as you describe yours to be. So far this has been one of the best vehicles i have ever owned having had a few toyotas, hondas and fords prior to buying this one. Guess these cars are not for everyone.

I've ever only picked up 1 scratch and it was from a neighbor's toddler riding something next to the car & must of bumped the car. Even then it was a small not very noticeable scratch. I've picked up a 1 or 2 small rock chips but nothing out of normal wear from driving. Your post is exactly why I garage my car & hardly ever drive it. Went through too much of that paint getting messed up like you mentioned on my old Daily Driver/only driver 98 Trans Am.

The paint and clear coat are not the best. But my 2013 so far is one hell of a beast. She makes my beloved #230 L99 Bee Bee look like a slow poke underpowered crack head. I even had a tune on the Bee and she was no where as fun as Kami.
Know if taxes come out ok for me I am going to put in a 1LE rear end and have even more fun. |

I had many problems with my 2010 including shitty paint, but that didn't keep me from getting a ZL1. More power always makes you feel better about a car. Lol

I think someones being a little... complainy? Dude get over it. If you dont want the car, give it to me, i promise you i would LOVE to have it! Dont complain about stupid crap like the seats being too small, because this is not a family car and you need to get over it. If you dont want it anymore, then sell it to someone who actually appreciates how awesome this car is. Buy your Porsche or Viper, then when those start getting chips/dings/scratches you can complain about those too.

What planet are you from? First you complain because a $30K Camaro costs too much then later you talk about wanting a Viper or Porshe 911.... Now that's funny...
You bought this car USED, did you ever think the pervious owner didn't take care of the car and ragged on it at every opportunity? You say here you have owned it 8 months, in a thread from last month you talk about owning it for a year.... I am now driving my second 5th gen, neither have had any of the issues you listed. Paint has been as good as any car I have ever had, my first one got one paint chip on the front bumper and one on the hood in 23K miles, this one with 8,800 miles has no chips at all.. I don't know but sometimes when I read posts like this its hard for me to believe the OP even owns a Camaro...
