It is a Billet grind that we developed over the last few years for the LS3.

The intake & exhaust are in the 23X duration range & lift is just short of .600".

We have the intake ground on a more aggressive ramp rate than the exhaust which keeps the valvetrain dynamics under control at high RPM.

Regarding the HP numbers. All numbers posted are at the wheels. We see a 15% loss through the drivetrain. 426 at the engine equals 360 at the tires.

If you take our final HP number (452) and divide that by .85 you will calculate the approx engine HP (531)

Yes. We can supply a tune for our camshaft package. We have 3 different ways to get you the proper calibration.

1. You send in your ECM.
2. You purchase our PowerFlash cable.
3. You rent our FlashXpress cable.

For 2 or 3 you will need a laptop. Software is supplied to you with the cables.

Is the base tune also included? I would think it would be best to actually have it done after all the parts are installed but for those who are not near MI that's not possible!

So, are you including a base tune with this package or is tuning left to me?

So if i wanted to keep all of the stock parts it would cost me $3095, not to bad

How about the cost of the powerflash cable and tune or is that already included?

Total Parts -3900

Prices were taken from mfr's websites, except for PSI springs which didn't list them so I found them somewhere else, and the camshaft, but that's about avg for custom cams. So you're paying about 1,050 for labor (based on the 4950 price listed) which is VERY GOOD. 1000 bucks to have them install your headers, hang your exhaust, put on the intake... and oh yeah... take all the accessories off the front of your engine, drain the coolant, take the heads off, take the timing cover/chain off, take the old valve springs off, put the new ones in, take the old pushrods out, put new ones in, unbolt the engine from its mounts, lift it up a little to take the camshaft out (possibly - maybe not I don't know what's involved on the Camaros, just guessing), take the old cam out, put the new one in, make sure it's degreed right, put the heads back on, put the timing chain/cover ack on, torque everything up, re-install the accessories, put new coolant back in, and tune it. And you people are griping about price? Get over yourselves. I remember one guy was quoted by his dealer the price for installing the GMPP HOT cam was 2500. TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to install a camshaft. No new valve springs. No new pushrods. No new headers or exhaust or anything like that. Pretty damn good I'd say. Nice job guys.
The $2,400 you mention, includes the cat-back, which this engine package does not. Thunder Racing is selling Kook's for the 2010 Camaro for $1,485. That's with an x-pipe and cat's, but no cat-back, just like this engine package.

Those of you that are hyper posting how this,"stage 2" kit is,"pricey" should really look around before running down what vectormotorsports is offering here.
If you really know and understand what they are including in that package, you would appreciate the offer.
A cost effective alternative to a belt driven aspirated motor. A bottom grade blower will not realize the same power gains and will add more weight to an already hefty car.
Please do your home work before accusing somebody of monetary rape. I for one will be taking advantage of this offer. I only wish they were closer to do the install for that price.

Are there plans for an L99 equivalent? Also, do you do the install in PA?

Warranty safe package

If this is a stage II, what is a stage I, III, etc. Although I don't have my camaro,,,, yet, I believe I would like to see a great bang for buck package that helps you keep your warranty. I know this is subject as to what it means but the idea would be that should some thing fail, I could remove xyz part and then take my car to the dealer like I had never changed anything. I'm going through this right now with the GTO as they believe my Mass Air Flow has failed. If I had left the CAI on before taking it to the dealer most likely they would have blamed me for the problem.

Here is what we are working on now. The LS3 owners can use all Stages. L99 owners, the first 3.

Also, our PowerFlash system will allow customers with automatic transmissions ability to tune their transmissions at home. We have tuned well over 250 G8 GT's with this system.
  • Tune Only (No other Mods)
  • CAI & Tune
  • Stage 1 - CAI, Headers & Tune
  • Stage 2 - Cam Package, CAI, Ported Intake, Headers & Tune
  • Stage 3 - Stage 2 Plus CNC Ported Heads

Why would you have to lift the block to get camshafts out?

This sounds like a great package, too bad I am nowhere near MI but I do have a local world-renown speed shop to do it. How much is shipping to NJ?

In several motors there is not sufficient room in the front compartment to remove the cam shaft with elevating the engine. In the 10 camaro, after removing the radiator there is enough room to get it out.
