This was my daily driver that I traded in on my Camaro.
The upside- 40-45 MPG on the highway
The downside - No a/c (plus its a Cobalt)
Good pickup for passing the way its geared.

You wanted cheap.

Are you looking for a new car that's one thing you didn't mention I bet you could find a nice used 2010 cobalt ss turbo for not much money and still under the powertrain warranty. But I do say it will prolly be hard to find one that is stock and with a decent amount of low miles. And as I said before the fiesta St is coming out soon too 197hp in a 2750lbs car means prolly fun and easy on gas.

This. Cheap, easy to fix, tons of them to pick from ,parts are easy to come by,fun to drive and you wont lose your shirt if you unload it later. One of my favorite cars from the 80's. For the record we own a mini cooper S its a bitch to work on.

Sonic RS. Turbocharged 4 banger with a stick shift. They're a lot of fun to drive!

????? My DD is a Pontiac G6 GT Coupe, it's not a Camaro or a luxury car by any means but it gets 34mpg highway, has a V6 w/ 200+hp and for a 2006 runs better than the imports my friends have that are new.

The Sonic, Cruise and Spark are not bad cars either. Not something I would buy but nothing to spit on.
