Man Im so disappointed with my head unit its not even funny. Im sorry, but I find it hard to believe that GM or anybody else involved with the production of this knew of these numurous problems. Im hoping CE fixes them, but CD pretty much did nothing with random disconnects.

I'm sorry the software update didn't do much to help you out. I agree that it's very frustrating that this got out with these bugs in it. Are you having the same problems with your iPhone disconnecting, or are you using a different type of device that's still disconnecting? Again, I'm really sorry that you're having issues, but hopefully we can get them fixed for you so you can really enjoy your car.

Does the GM update take care of the USB not alway responding with a memory stick? Has it been relaesed yet? and if so where do I get the update. My son is a GM tech at the dealership. Will he have access and the means to update my system? Alot of questions, sorry!! but this is annoying. I am sure you'll get it fixed, but that doesn't mean the dealerships will know how to do it, or even tell us about a fix. thanks for keeping us informed

I took my baby in for an oil change/tire rotation and requested that the PDIM be flashed to the newest version. They looked at me like I was speaking Klingon.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention, or maybe nothing's been posted, but is there supporting documentation, or a reference that I can provide to the service department to help translate Klingon to English?

Maybe I should try another dealership.

To be honest, I didn't really have a problem with USB stick not being recognized before or after the update. I have noticed it before but it's pretty rare and it has happened since the update but not often enough for me to call a "problem". Yes, techs should be able to access and install the update. I don't know how to reference it but it should be in their system somewhere.

I think the best bet is to show them this site. Plug your VIN in and go to the PDIM section and it will show the available updates. That should give them a start. Might have to explain to them what the PDIM is.

I have an iPhone 3Gs and it occasionally cuts out on me or I have to plug it in a couple times before it will be recognized. I can't say there is any particular thing that I'm doing when it cuts out.

One scenario is that I'll be driving along and all of a sudden it stops playing. When I pull it out of the center console to unplug and replug it in, it will be restarting. That's the most annoying.

Other times, I'll be changing songs and it will lag and then the information on the screen goes blank and a second or two later it will say that there is no data from the device or something along those lines. Then I have to unplug it and plug it back in to recognize the device again.

When I drove to Vegas the other week, I was using the OnStar navigation and that seemed to increase the issue.

That's all the detail I can really think of right now. Hopefully that helps you guy get closer to finding a solution.
