In my Impala SS it specifically say you can run 87 in the engine with reduced performance results. I always run 91 according to the manual. Recently I also bought a new Camaro 2LT/RS and it runs fine with 87 but once per month I'll run 89. If that guy wants to run 87 in his SS then he could with mixed results in performance. If it pings when he hits the gas well that's another thing. I hate pinging in my motors so that's why I prefer the higher octane if I can afford it. Mail Clerk |

Military jet fuel, ex JP8, is pretty much diesel with additives, and I know you are messing around. Just a little info
