...bottom line is who cares what others think, the ZL1 is so quick, so comfortable, so versatile, so nimble,..so sexy.

I don't want to heavily modify the suspension on another Mustang if I don't have to. I will look at the 2015 version with IRS as that was the major factor of me not buying one. To be honest I guess I'm a hypocrite as I just dumped money in suspension mods for the ZL1. I am keeping my ZL1!
Thanks for the compliment. I have owned both ( now and in the past) and both have their own merits.

I equate the great handling the ZL1 has to the horsepower my GT500 has right now (675 FWHP). Wife asked if that is enough.....of course the answer is " it's never enough!"

Have fun with you Z!

I hope there are more and more people out there that hate the ZL1. I hope they hate them so much that Chevy has to almost give them away. Then I will be able to afford one because I totally want one. So haters keep hating, then when I get mine I will blow your stupid asses off the road.

P.s. I also think the GT500 is a great car also.

I put over 200 miles on her today after pulling the exhaust fuse. I saw no other ZL1's or GT500's today but it's early and the weekend has just begun. I got a lot of looks, waves and enthusiastic well wishes from Camaro drivers.

I think it's where you live. In NY there are so many expensive cars no one really cares. Even Ferraris are fairly common. I mean the only ones that ever noticed my car so far was the mechanic at a gas station and 3 young kids who probably thought it was just a camaro and they were transformer fans.

Those people in NY with all those expensive cars probably did not notice your car because their head was stuck up their rear end so far, the sun was not shining.
Now, when you blow the doors off their cars with speed and handling, they'll take notice and wonder WTF

Chevy did not do the zl1 and now the z28 any favors by announcing them so far in advance cause by the time they get to market they are old news and there is something better out hopefully the 6th gen will change that

I agree 100%. had ZL-1 come out in a timely fashion with less pre-knowledge of the h.p etc then maybe the 13 gt-500 wouldnt have gotten the massive h.p bump like it did before the 12 ZL's had even hit the street.

imagine the buzz on the street if the Z-28 had remained a secret with minimal publicity and no h.p or specs given. then just out of the blue have 1 at every dealer for unveiling day. there would be a line at every dealer with people fighting over them.
