Thanks 2SSJIM

After a quick search, I found this.

The Nevada Open Road Challenge.

Nice, I didn't know such things still existed.

I didn't know it until I watched Gearz and wish I would have recorded it on DVR so i could watch the whole episode! Thanks for finding that site; I was starting a search here at work but got interupted by a tool error and had to go fix it. I did catch the part where the K&N Filters Viper Crashed and flipped at 210 MPH.... driver did walk away from it to.

Contrary to popular belief, high speeds on a safe and protected road with no traffic isn't any more dangerous than regular speeds on an open road in traffic. Know what your car can safely do and don't be stupid. Don't drive fast in traffic, don't drive super fast on an open road, and know your car.

It is not smart to drive really fast on public roads. And don't assume that I'm rekless. I've got NO tickets, and I've never so much as hit a curb with anything I've ever driven. This includes 1,000,000 verifyable tractor trailor miles, not counting all of my personal miles and years. Yes. There are people who would never recover if I were to get ripped in half but rest assured I don't drive super fast very often. I've had Bonnies car to 135 once, and mine to the same speed once. The two fastest speeds I've EVER driven. Probably won't do it again but I know this stretch and there was no real danger.

Take it to the World of Speed on the salt flats or to The Texas Mile. The next Texas Mile event is in October, I beleive. You will have to pass tech for the speed class you will run in.
