He announced the first order of a Z/28, and then stood behind the assertion in several more posts. That is an amazing claim subject to amazing butt-busting if wrong. If I post something so earth shaking, I fully expect to have my balls publicly busted if wrong. You are not in school anymore, don't expect grading on a curve. Should I feel bad because he was gullible/lied to/naive? Wrong. It's a good life lesson. We've all had them and hopefully are better men because of the experiences.

Maybe he will come follow-up post and let us know what can be learned from this?

Folks seem quick to criticize when online. You have to remember that you are not really having a "conversation" with a particular person on a forum. Conversations face to face usually vary dramatically from identical online chatter.
