Um judging by the 7K RPM yeah I'd say it was on the floor... Not sure what to do now.. take it to the dealer?

OK I GOT IT!

HAD TO MASH IT FASTER ALL the way to the floor. Haven't Launched it, but got it to stop at 4K. Question what teh difference between the TRACTION Control and the STABLITY Control Exactly?? I know both can be turned off by holding for 7 SECS... What more do you get by additionally turning off the STABILITY?

im still confused on the traction control, stabilitrak and competition mode, explains it in the book but is vague. So you can turn everything off by holding down for 7 seconds. My question is in normal driving no lights on for any of these systems what is the car doing

Here's my report on the launch control from the dragstrip. My first pass out, I launch the car on the launch control. Result.... Wheel Hop worse than I've ever experienced and get this, a 3.2 60ft. So, willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, I try it on pass number 2. Result.... see pass number 1. Consistant? Yes. Constantly Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. My best 60ft with me on the pedal.... 2.01. Now, when I tried the launch control previously on the street, it seemed to work o.k. I don't know what the deal was with it on the track but it didn't work worth a flip. Just my experience and .02

I've been reading peoples post about LC and how they used / broke their car.

The RPM range is suppose to be 4000-4200. . . Just noticed someone said they dumped the clutch with LC at 5500.

I haven't launched my car, but have used the LC to see where the RPM stopped at. 4200. . . but to get it to work properly I had to double tap the gass peddle. If I didn't the RPM would go to red line.

I haven't seen the 5500 thing yet. With the LC you have to mat the gas pretty quickly or it will go to redline. Mine stopped at the advertised 4200 and still had horrible wheel hop.

What happens when you add performance mods to the car? Do you have to reprogram this system or does it hold the same concept and will monitor and adjust will spin for optimum performance??

i tired it tonight for the first time...empty parking lot late at night. safest place to try it imo. Put it into comp mode, clutch in, threw it in first, stab the gas and held right at 4200... dropped the clutch and ya. seemed to be a bit too much spin but all in all seems to work fine on pavement. not sure what it will do with a vht'd track

I tried it yesterday successfully and got some violent wheel hop. Might have been uneven pavement but I really wasn't too impressed.

Don't screw this LC up.

I tried the Comptetive launch control about the third week of having mine. I tired it once, it red lined. Read the manual again, tried it again, heard a "POP" towards the trunk. Ended up breaking the main transmission shaft. Called on-star, had it towed back to the awesome Carfagno Dealership in Norristown, PA on a saturday, got a call monday morning explaining the problem. GM Expressed shipped a brand new tranny, they installed it Tuesday, I picked it up Tuesday night, car works great! GM did an awesome job and the dealership kicks a**! This video would have helped. Live and learn, or dont and die(or in this case, break another tranny). I'm going to try the LC again this weekend, see what happens and repost.
