If you have a chance I'd love to chat with you today about this little fitment issue. I'll be in the office all day, please feel free to call!

We designed those to be tight but not touch. Like MATT said, they should just slid up in and clear the steering shaft. We spent a TON of time in CAD and building prototypes to ensure we could make an 1-7/8" Tri-Y fit well.

Those are great number MATT! Thats about what we saw with our ZL1 as well!

For those who pre-ordered and are still waiting, we are building/shipping them as fast as we can. It takes our welding team (read "artists") a little bit to get up to full production speed, but you shouldn't have to wait much longer.

I'll try to make contact soon...been dealing with some work stuff this morning before I go in for my shift tonight. It was a pretty straightforward install, but it'll be nice to have this little issue cleared up.

Received the headers yesterday afternoon and installed them today. Pfadt did their R&D homework, nothing rubs and there aren't any hang down issues.

Once we figured out the firing order, it was a breeze;

Steering shaft not bolted yet;

I don't have dyno numbers, but acceleration gains were very noticeable comparing yesterday and today. This is a good upgrade, exhaust sound is different from the inside, even those standing close to me stated the exhaust sounded different at idle.

For me, this is a better upgrade than an exhaust only because there is a definite performance gain, factory exhaust cat back seems to flow well and there's a definite growl when working the engine.

After the big smile test drive;

Any resolution on the interference issue? Strange that on one car it doesn't fit, but on the other two it seems okay. I suppose you could chalk it up to manufacturing tolerances, deformation due to welding.

Well, I reseated the steering knuckle, and that gave me a hair between the rubber further up the shaft and the rear tube, then I took some channel locks and mashed the metal clasp down a little bit to prevent it catching on the header when I turn. So far it seems like everything's good now think it was tramtwo who mentioned in another thread I could mess with the motor mounts and see if I could scoot the engine over a little, but I have no idea about that. Gonna go ahead and chalk this one up to my car being "extra" special from the factory, lol

I wish I had the equipment to do video/sound, I can ask around. Factory, stock cat back. The pics and captions are a bit out of sequence, cursor was bouncing around on the narrow DROID screen.

For me, $$$ bang for the buck, Pfadt headers >aftermarket exhaust.

Same deal with the Pfadt Camber plates, on the 2012s and up seem like they never test fitted for the strut mounting point where the camber plate doesn't sit flush on the strut tower. That point needs to be shaved which is one reason I sold the Pfadt camber plates.

I have Kooks 1-7/8 LT on my 2013 1LE and they make light contact with the boot also.

Ill post up pics and vids this week once I get them in. I actually had the dealer bring in an SS with the npp exhaust for me so I plan on leaving! I have a feeling a m2w switch will be nice later!
