Keeping those black beauties clean must be a lot of work!
I will not consider anything other than black...but after my day with a black ZL1 and the brake dust...it was unbelievably dirty after just one day....so I think I am going to wrap it. I keep things neat and tidy but by no means have I ever been meticulous. But even with that said...nothing looks better than a clean black ZL1! |

For me, its a labor of love. Wash and detail one each day either in the morning or after supper. I find it therapeutic and get antsy if the weather goes bad and I can't do it.

I can't speak for other black car owners, but I treat all of mine the same. First a careful buffing and paint correction to remove the dealer installed swirl marks. The its a coat of opticoat 2.0. I don't use any wax and I wash with a Meguires concentrate and a foam cannon. I let them dry and then use a finishkare waterless wash called #425 slick final body coat. I'm happy with the results and so far the swirls are staying gone!
