Who torques a butt like that? Sounds painful.

btw, where did you get the 376 checker flag thingy.....looks way cool. is it a badge or sticker?
I can't remember. I think I did a google image search for it and it brought up a place that sells them.

I greatly appreciate the sympathy and tips. I was originally just so mad and wanted to vent, but also to give a heads up to others. These things don't just happen in bad neighborhoods. Keep your stuff protected.

Hey guy, I have to say I know how you feel. My car was keyed about two months ago by some envious bastard. They got me all the way from the front fender to over half way down the drivers door. People suck and theres a special place in hell for these people.

I have the Viper Smart-Start GPS alarm on my ZL1. It sends all notifications to my iPhone 5 and iPad and I can also arm/disarm/pop the trunk from my devices. The best feature of the system is the real-time GPS tracking. I spent almost $1,000 on the system but the peace of mind is priceless. I always park my ZL1 inside of my garage with the alarm armed and I have the Gorilla Lock wheel locks for all 20 of my lugnuts. I'm very paranoid and anal when it comes to my ZL1.

Count me among the Camaro SS crime victims.

Those are easier to defeat than the gorilla locks. Way easier.

I feel your pain. Mine was broken into in broad daylight in front of my home a week ago. They went thru the vehicle and took anything of monetary value they could find. They left a nice huge hand print on my passenger window that the police lifted prints from but it still enrages me to even think about some stranger being inside my camaro. It sucks how horrible some people can be. I hope your thief gets caught and that nothing else happens to your camaro.

I was thinking the same! But if your willing to part with your ride then I'm willing to try!

I will try to keep my tale of woe short. 3 weeks ago on a Friday night, I park my beloved Camaro SS/RS in the parking lot of our apts. My wife and I took our dogs for a walk and were back inside about 8:00pm. We both had to work the next day and got up early and were ready around 6:30am. When we get down to our cars in the communal area out in front of our building, we notice that some POS has jacked up the back of my car. They have stolen the back two tires and rims, and left the car sitting on two big rocks placed under the rocker panels.
Needless to say, I was shocked, outraged, and hurt all at once. I called the police and my insurance. Police came and took a report. (Evidently, a Mustang had the same thing happen the night before at these apts.). My insurance took care of having the car towed to the dealership where they replaced the back tires and two rocker panels. (Total cost was nearly $5,000! I was only out $500 deductable. I was also without my car for two weeks waiting on specific parts.). I have her back now and she's as good as ever. I invested in 4 locking lug nuts. I put one on each wheel. I still feel pissed that people will do things like this, but realize ultimately there is nothing I can do. The reason we live here is because it's such a nice and quiet area. In 6 years living here, we've never had any trouble at all. Our apt faces away from the parking area, so there's no way I could have heard/seen anything.
I have some pics of the damage, but I thought I would spare anyone the trauma of seeing a Camaro with her back tires stolen and rocker panels damaged.
Anyway...that's my tale of woe.
That sucks! what dicks! but if you ever find them I do need some new back tires....

Locking nuts are no good. I went to get new tires once on my old Eclipse spyder which had them, I didn't have the key nut for them. The guy said no problem, took a nice tight old socket & breaker bar, taped the socket a few times with a hammer onto the lock nut, a little pressure and twist and it was off in seconds. Took them all off in less than a few minutes. I could only laugh. Best protection is prob a super ultimate security system.
