Baron and NVmy I can 100 % tell you were GTR owners lol.

If they could get the feel right on the GTR it would be THE car to have period.
Its fast as hell takes a corner like NOTHING I have ever been go's zero to 100 in warp speed...... BUT..... your just
along for the ride zero feel no white knuckle feeling ect.

I wanted to feel that again with a MANUAL TRANS ZL1

I know the auto is faster but to me if someone is ahead fine as long as I'm sweating and panting hard after the race I'm 100 % golden !!!!

Can't wait to do a meet and greet with some of you guys too !!

Since the '12 Camaro ZL1 or a '09 Nissan GTR will be on my budget to replace my '11 Mustang GT. I did some checking on the web about the GTR, and even that it is great performer, is full of quality issues, starting with a very expensive transmission maintenance that it always under risk of failure, and Nissan does not want to cover the warranty if they noticed that you raced the GTR that is ridiculous on a car tat is setting records at the Nurburgring track, how can they sell a great performance sport car and expecting owners to drive it like a prius, come on Nissan you have your head under your legs, while GM allows Camaro's ZL1, Z28 & 1LE owners to track their cars even encourage them to do so, because they trust their cars.

I just decided the GTR is not for me, I don't want to get bankrupt. Read this "The 10 most expensive cars to own":
http://247wallst.com/special-report/...cars-to-own/2/
The GTR is one of them. That was one of the things that I hated from my previous 911 Porsche Carrera, what a nightmare!
Goodbye GTR, Hello ZL1

Asab...would that happen to be your old GTR at Schumacher? I was just in there the other day and they said someone traded it in for a ZL-1.

Yes I think your crazy and I own a ZL1. I love the GTRs. Also, why would the motor in the stingray bother you? I think you need to check some of the times the new C7s are running. They are as fast as a ZL1 stock to stock. Remember, get rid of weight and you don't need as much power.

You're not the only one Bumblebee! I've already picked his brain for advice and information about my next purchase. Nothing like advice from an owner with a real world perspective. I'm going to keep my ZL1 as a DD.

The fit and finish are also fine for me in the Camaro to.. Anyway the GTR inside was just as simple as the Camaro had more Tech bells and whistles but not worth the 110k IMHO

I plan to do a few simple mods and wait for the new ZR1 once that comes out I guess I will see

This sight is great and has so much info I became an expert on the car from reading all of your great threads !!!

I also had a chance to slip into a Z51 3LT Stingray but this Camaro won me over hands down !!! I like the Stingray very much but that Motor would get
old fast as far as its power.

Look forward to reading and sucking up all the good info here....

Thanks for a great sight !!!!

Asab.......
What won you over the GT-R and Stingray to get a ZL1?

Don't believe everything you read. Hell I traded in my Ferrari for a ZL1 then traded the ZL1 for a Dodge Nitro. Let me tell you the ZL1 and Ferrari are overhyped. Nitro makes me excited in the morning. Smh.
