I'd much rather see Chevy put these tires on the ZL1 and go back to the ring. I'd bet it would blow the Z/28 out of the water.

it'll take more than just 75 extra horses to mop THAT floor.

I never said that. What I said was I'd like to see the same tires on the ZL1 at the ring.

Did you understand it this time?

YAWN...so boring.

Go put your tires on and go prove to yourself whatever it is you seek to find. In the meantime us Z/28 buyers will go enjoy our cars.

You said this, too:

"I'd bet it would blow the Z/28 out of the water."

Using just a bit of logic, one has to also conclude there are one or more reasons the ZL1 would "blow the Z/28 out of the water." I am merely searching for your reasoning in the form of hard data points on which to base a discussion.

The above is beside the fact that as has already been pointed out, the Z/28 is designed to run any track lap after lap after lap, back to back, without the usual concerns associated with doing so.

Yes, those tires are enough to make up the 3.87 seconds that the Z/28 beat the ZL1 by.

And the Z/28 wet track run?

Those tires are ridiculously sticky and would greatly improve the ZL1 track time. By at least 3.87 seconds on the ring.

I'll leave you to your fantasy world now.

Goodbye.

Thanks for all your great insights. I was among the very first people in the USA to use the Trofeo and Trofeo R on track. As I've already posted. Fanboy to you, experienced Trofeo user on track in the real-world. Look in the mirror to learn about a fantasy world.

Do some homework during your time away.

Could you please explain to all readers here your particular brand of physics, not to mention driving skill set, that imputes a 3.87 second gain to a tire change, but refuses to simultaneously deduct time for driving in the rain at triple-digits speeds on the very same tires and track? I'd like to learn how that works so as I might also take advantage of it.

That would be "Schrödinger Physics".

The time gain is both there, and not.
