Love the 14 taillights. Especially, the non-RS package.

This tail light discussion is getting real old real fast.
WTF 60's Camaro does the 10-13 taillights look like? When the 2010 came out, all I heard from people OUTSIDE of this forum was "Its an OK car, but wtf is up with the taillights?" If you think the '14 tail lights look bad, guess what? Thats your opinion, I think Mustangs are ugly, but there sure are a shit load of them on the road, see how that works? I own a '14, you know why? Because due to the taillights of the '10-'13, I just couldn't pull the trigger, I liked the car, but didn't love the car. When I saw the '14, I couldn't resist anymore...to me, it was perfect....if some people don't think so, I ont really give a rats ass, I drive it you don't. I don't give '10-'13 owners shit for their tail lights, because I'm all grown up and understand that liking the way a car looks is an objective opinion, not a fact... |

People keep complaining about the C7 and Camaro tail lights but I think it's the big flat black backend that hurts both of them. I think they would look better the color of the car, but what do I know? Sorry, I know back to the topic.

2010 Camaro is the best looking car ever made.
![]() But you've got to make changes or the look gets old (not to me, but to the general public). GM has to keep the car fresh/new/different to bring in new buyers. Right now the Camaro has a very good reputation and is still quite popular after 5 years. GM needs to be careful not to make the mistakes of the past. I've own 5 different Camaro models, and I remember when the Camaro lost popularity with the public (form many reasons) at different times in its life. Then we lost it for 8 years. The long break was needed to bring a new ground breaking design to the Camaro. The 5th gen Camaro was the hottest thing in decades to hit the streets in the Spring of 2009. Now GM has to find a way to keep the Camaro fresh without screwing up the greatest design that've had in years. |

Why can't posters in Camaro5 stay on-topic? This is a thread on aerodynamics between the Z/28 and 1LE, and so many little queenies have to give their (unwanted) opinions about style. This is what undermines our forums folks, making them hard to search and find data that you really need.
I would really like to have seen a comparo between the '13 1LE vs the '14 1LE to get a list of advantages of that new spoiler and the extractor. If that new spoiler is an easy bolt-on swap for the 1LE (or any model), it may be a good mod to consider. Anyone seen any lateral-g aka skid pad testing on these new track-focused '14s? While a verbal discussion is nice, I want to see some numbers. |

I don't have any comparisons between the 13 and 14 1LE's I can tell you that the rear spoiler is not an easy swap. The deck lid is different.
I decided (from pictures) that the Z/TA spoiler is similar in aggression and function to the 14 1LE spoiler. As for a hood vent there are several options Hex Vents are popular. ACS also has a vent that you'd swear was the 14 vent at first blush they also have a spoiler coming out that is supposed to be similar to the ZL1 spoiler. They currently have a front splitter that looks similar to the 14 1LE splitter. And they also have side skirts BTW. I went with an ACS GTZ hood and a Z/TA spoiler. Check my signature for a link to my build thread I recently put up pics. There are tons of aero options. Also you might want to consider figuring out a belly pan once you pull off some hood ventilation. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

I said both taillights had 60's look, neither was exact! But since you want to pick on the 10-13 taillights. Where did you 14 front end come from!???? No 60's camaro front for the 14.The 10-13 taillights are kinda like the split taillights of the 60's camaro. You gave up the Retro 10-13 front for the 14 taillights? 10-13 camaro taillights similar to the 68's, just spread apart .The 14's more similar to the 69's. Since we have generally gone off the rails with this thread because the taillights came up how about we look at it like this.
When you talk about the Gen 1 Camaro you generally have the 67/68 fans and then the 69 fans. People just leave it at that. I personally am a 68 fan and IMHO the Gen 5 10-13 model looks more like that. The 14 looks more like a 69. I personally like all 3 years of the Gen 1 but like I said I prefer the '68. I also like all of the Gen 5 but prefer my 13. See how that works? Now play nice and let's back to aerodynamics... Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk

The Z/28 is impressive.
Pretty significant differences pointed out between the two. The only partial performance similarity was the hood vent. Did I miss something else? ![]() I wonder why the comparison was made with the 1LE. Is it because they look alike (besides the front splitter, rear spoiler & rockers)?
