This thread makes me feel a lot better . I am currently tossing back and forth between black and IOM, both are SS2 R/S with IOM interior and CGM rally stripes. This will be kept in a garage and taken out from mid June to Sept and maybe get 1K miles a year on it? So keeping it clean won't be to hard but I really like that IOM, but I really like the black...

I don't think another black Camaro should be produced. Please don't by a black Camaro. Go IOM!!!! That will make all the black ones already delivered worth that much more in the future. Just kidding. Just be completely comfortable with your choice. It's like choosing a wife... no I won't go there. lol

IOM is a color that must be seen in the sun and in person. Can be a pain to keep clean and will show swirls, but not as bad as black. When we order in Oct. most thought we where nuts, then almost all said "WOW" and the one who didn't thought the color was better then what they had pictured. The other color I have seen that really surprised me other then IOM is RJT and would be my second choice. I have seen more IOM then any other color so I guess it a popular color. Green is the best, but we could not wait. M2C

Same boat as me man. But I'm pretty sure I know myself and I'm kind of lazy when it comes to meticulously washing and waxing a car. If it doesn't look good when it's even just a little dirty; that would get old pretty quick.

I saw an IOM on an overcast day a few days ago. It seriously looked red...kind of like a tomato...it worried me about my choice.

In the sun it's a totally different car.

Yeah, the showing every spec of dirt and showing swirl marks more deal is the only downside to black, but besides that it looks sooo good, but so does the orange... . Best of luck to everyone trying to make a color decision.

I would take some pictures but there is a slight problem....... I don't have my car yet. Should be here in September though, but I see a lot of other guys have already posted some pictures for ya. The one I took pictures of was an automatic at the dealer. Mine will be M6

I will try. The day we ordered our car, the salesman showed us the pics of the owner's car on his cell phone. Cell phone pics aren't the best of quality but it looked really nice. Then low and behold, he pulled up in it. So we got to see it in person. It was awesome. The chances it'll be there when we finally get our car are probably slim but we will have our camera with us just in case.

I'm stuck in the opposite boat between going with the all blacked out look with IOM interior and painted GFX or Black with IOM stripes and interior...and in time black wheels with paint GFX.

I love the mostly black with added IOM inside and stripes but everytime I see a blacked out 5th gen like the one in the first post it pushes me or to just ordering a black 2ss without the stripes.

I dunno lol...I just dont wanna regret getting the IMO stripes...If I just got black I could always do it in the future.

IOM is my favorite color on the Camaro. I know that having one gives me a bias, but there is a problem with the color. Where the bumber cover meets the steel fenders on both front and rear, it tends to peel. It is covered under warranty, but its still a pain.

My car is getting its gfx installed so I don't have pictures as of yet. The only two colors that I have seen the problem on is IOM and RY. Both colors have the same problem in the same spot. I was told that the problem is from over tightening the clamps on the bumber covers, but that wouldn't make it an IOM and RY only problem.

If you do choose to go with IOM, keep that in mind. If someone on here already has IOM, check your corners.

Never heard of that, thanks for the tip! By the way, still looking for some nice photoshopper to whip up an image of IOM w/ Black stripes with silver pinstriping on the edges.
