The question is, are you still living with mommy and daddy? If so, they are helping out BIG TIME

18, but was 17 when I got it... and my mom pays for it! She does everything she can to supply for me, and in return I do what she asks me to. I do well in school, and pay for my own gas. Nothing wrong with that!

Im 18, my parents bought my sister and I cars for our 17th birthday, mine being the camaro and her's a 2013 BMW 3 series.. but again, with the cars also comes us being top 20 in our class of 500 and everything else that we do. We're responsible kids who have amazing cars, not because we are spoiled but because we work hard to deserve it.

I disagree; you don't pay interest to mommy & daddy, the bank you do and you're on the hook for it unlike mommy & daddy sponsoring you are not.

And since we are all responsible, we treat our cars how they need to be treated. My car is my life.

34 here; got my '14 C5 a lil over a month ago, I'll be 35 in November; just in time for my Ford Raptor purchase in January '15.

Funny thing is everybody seems to think I am spoiled or must have a lot of $$$ to buy a Camaro and have a 2nd vehicle which I also pay for all on my own with my own income but I've had that 2nd vehicle for almost 3 years

If I were not lazy with my car I would have to clean it every day. Now I'm not saying I don't take care of her, but I definitely am learning to not be too meticulous about it. I don't wash her often anymore, but fingerprints and dirt scuffs on my door sills still annoy me! I live in the country and on a dirt road, and no matter when I wash it, the next day it's covered in thick dust from dirt settling from the air. It's awful, but at least it's a camaro. Clean or dirty, it's my baby.

I wouldn't wash my car every day either if I lived on a dirt road. I'm a professional detailer on the side for some extra play money and even so during the summer my car still gets washed every Friday after work. When I get myself a 1LE as my weekend warrior I will no doubt wash it everytime I take it out and pull the wheels off, jack it up, and clean every little suspension component, the tires, polish the exhaust. And get rid of any dirt underneath that can hold moister and cause rust before I put it away for the winter.

Call me crazy for going through that much but I think in the long run it'll make the difference on the look of the car years down the road.
