I know there is a "natural" rivalry between cars like Camaro, Mustang, Challenger....but some take it to a new level, and I will leave it at that.

This is a much more tolerant site, and for that I am thankful.

i know first hand that an SRT-8 is not even close to running with an SS.

Welcome aboard! We at least try to be constitutional over here... Challengers look cool on the outside and sound terrific, but it stops about there. It deserves respect for that, but I think you were right to go for the camaro!

Can't be to hard. the orignal poster said he got banned just for telling them he went with the camaro.

One thing i think is hilarious, here and there, is the bashing of the Camaro there and the Challenger here. The fact is when you take each cars strengths and weaknesses (and yes they BOTH have stregths and WEAKNESSES) they are about even overall. Neither is perfect....... But IMHO, they are easily 2 of the best cars out there just because they elicit so much emotion.

I truly don't understand the "car hater" mentality. Personally I like the Challenger and the Mustangs, I don't think anything negative about the owners unless they are jerks to me. At a recent car show I had a guy with a Mustang that would barely talk to me when I parked next to him. Then another guy with a Mustang parked next to me and he was a great guy. We both complimented each other on our vehicles and we both admitted we would like to own both. If I had the money I would own all three but I purchased the car I like the best and since I am a loyal GM owner it just worked out that way.
