So now the question for me is if it's worth it to get the full catback or just get the axle backs and save some money since I have the LS3 with its more open exhaust. I do "plan" on getting a supercharger either the TVS 1900 or 2300 maybe next year if I have the money together.

What should I do on the exhaust?

With manual I understand that the Catback may have less benefit compared to auto and may be less necessary. I'm getting the Borla S axle back and will save lots.

isn't the stock cat-back tubing already mandrel bent and the same size tubing as the aftermarket cat-backs? Why not just save your money and purchase an axle-back?

Also, how does an x-pipe help performance?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge. That's why I've reading these forums so much.

Aftermarket will be better where the bends are than the factory. You will have some weight savings over stock.. better sound, more free-flowing.

Stock exhausts are quieter because of baffling in mufflers.

The X-over helps to balance the pulses from left bank/right bank, cancel some noise, and help smooth out the exhaust sound. It is a good thing...

I'm installing mine either tomorrow or sunday. I probably won't be able to wait and do it tomorrow evening. Did you install it yourself?
