My L99 woke up At about 13-1400 miles. Now with 1800+ it seems to be more responsive each time I take it out. It seems to run better in the recent cool weather. My rear wheels have broken loose a couple of times without even trying.
You got to be careful with this brute.

My L99 - Absolutely Love it!

OK, I just have to add my two cents...

I owned two Camaros before my L99. My first was an '83 Berlinetta 5-speed manual. Lot's of fun, but not lot's of power. I learned how to drive a stick in this car on the way home from the dealership! I drove it until 2003 (yep--20 years!). In 2002, I bought an '02 35th anniversary Z28. That one was a 310HP, 6-speed manual LS1 with the Hurst short-throw shifter--lot's of power AND lots of fun. All my Camaros have been my daily drivers, including my L99.

Which is why I went with the automatic transmission this time...I've had the fun of driving a manual (and it was fun), but my L99 brings a whole new dimension to the word "fun" for me. Now, I don't have to worry about the clutch in heavy traffic. I no longer get the type "A" jaw clench at the first sign of a string of brake lights in front of me. Now I sit back, relax, crank up the XM or my iPod tunes and truly ENJOY. Then, when the traffic let's up...I have so much fun squealing the tires and watching the cars get smaller behind me--I don't even think about the clutch anymore!

And when I feel like being even more engaged in the driving experience, I just shift into "M" (Sport Mode) and tap-shift away! It's a different type of shifting but I find that, to do it well, you need to practice and get a feel for the up shifting and down shifting--just like in a stick! So it's just as much "fun" for me, and I just don't have sufficient words to describe how much I'm enjoying this car.

Yes...driving a stick is fun...if you haven't yet, you should...at least once...just to say you did. Then come on over to the L99 side and have the time of your life! You won't regret it! Do the 5/20 fuse pull (i did) and this car is a beast. Even more so below 70 degrees F!

Way, way, way too freakin' cool!

I have no complaints on the L99 other than the AFM. Great running strong pulling engine.

Got mine and ran it hard on the break-in as per the thread explained and when I took it to Livernois Motorsports for some work she pulled 339 rwhp/345lbfttq before the mods and that was at only 350 miles on the clock. After mods she pulled 383hp/387tq. I now have over 700 miles and she is still getting better every time I take her out. Bottom line, I LOVE IT!!!!

I'm glad to hear that, as it looks like I'll be going L99 now myself.

The complaints mostly seem to be over the fuse pull issue.

Nothin' but love here.

They also seem to be the first cars out !!!!!!

When mine comes in I plan to fill it up with 93/91 pull the fuse over night just for the heck of it then replace them in the morning and drive it like I stole it from day one.

Random note on fuse pull: I only left my fuses out for 2 hours, and it worked.

I ran a few tanks of BP93 through her, pulled the fuses, and changed the oil. At 1700 miles she literally transformed. Mine will snap your neck. I've put a couple of million miles on some pretty wicked cars. Stock...this one takes the cake. You'll run out of road in a hurry if you're not careful! Oh yeah, love the brakes...
