I would say not too close but not way out by itself... I park usually where most of the parked cars end

If i had to drive mine as a daily driver would never have bought it. I find that most of the people that cause these issues in parking lots are kids and people that are so heavy they can barley fit in their own cars. They have to swing their doors open so wide just to get out.

How many times has this happen to you, you slowly open your door trying to be careful and a gust of WIND just rips the doors right out of your hand! You try to be careful and the damn wind takes your door! I hate that...

Thank You . This is a 2010 Camaro Wash it , Wax it , Keep the inside clean and drive it. Now for you folks who live up north in the Salt/Snow I understand if you want to get a beater to drive in the winner however when the spring/summer rolls around Drive it.
I got a 69 Camaro that sleeps in my Garage my 2010 is for driving Daily.
Hell thats why I have ordered the same dam paint scheme.
Give me a little of the feeling like im in my 69.

I will park my car away from others if possible however it wont be a marathon type distance lol
On windy days it will be where no buggies are . and dont take it to the grocery store or the mall and you will be fine.

thats exactly what I was fixing to say! I personally always park as far out were no one else is. Because if I parked close I would want to take up 2 spots and that just chaps my azz! But never fails even if I go straight in the store and out in less than 5 mins some jack azz has to park there peice of junk car right on top of me. Only thing I can figure is they know Im parking way out and do it to be A. HOLES!!! or they park this close so they can check out this sweet ride and are way to lazy to walk the distance to check out my car. just couple days ago I thought I was going to have to climb through on passenger side because I didnt think I was going to be able to get in my car but luckily im on the slim side and could barely get in my baby with out dinging the door! Which Im so glad I could get in because if I couldnt have I was so mad I would have probably been in jail for knocking out the but holes window.

One thing i find out is that for some reason no matter where I park cars are attracted to mine. I can park in the middle of no where and there are lots of empty stalls but when I get back there is someone next to my car. So for me the best answer is to find a corner stall, no matter close or far. If you can find a corner stall you can hug one side as close as possible and leave that much more room for the guy who parks next to you to not hit your car.

I went to Wolfchase mall in Memphis yesterday and parked way out in the lot with an island on one side. When I came out there was a ghetto cruiser parked next to me. My car was just as intact as it was when I left it there. You can't control other people's behaviour. If some one wants to mess it up, they will. And if they park next to you and you act an @ss like someone here said they did, well that's just asking for it to get screwed with.

I always think "score!" when I find a vette or beemer with a spot next to it. You know they will be careful next to your car too.

I'm more worried trying to find an ideal spot at work where it won't get bird crap on it... Never under a tree, or between two trees or...

The newness will dissipate in time. I don't like people parking next to me but know its going to happen. Just have to hope for the best and keep an eye out so there's no hit and runs.

Seems to me both of you are the ones with the wrong attitude. If it's worth admiring, it's worth respecting.
It's clear the person doesn't want someone parking right next to their car. So why do it unless you're just totally inconsiderate?

When I was in "Coledge" (lol) I had a 71 SS Chevelle- I parked that badboy so far out you had to cross a street to get to it. To top it off, I parked on the end, with just a motorcycle width space next to it. I'll be damned if I didn't come out after class and some jerkoff parked a VW bug in that small space- we were the only 2 cars in the whole damn lot, and he parked right next to me. To top it off, I had a big yellow slash in the door- lo and behold he left his door unlocked, so I opened it to make damn sure it was from him (YUP). When I got in, I opened my door so hard on his car I thought it was going to flip over. Anyway, it didn't fix anything, but I felt better. Too bad my door was hitting his rear fender (a weak part on bugs). I still get mad thinking about that....

Moral of the story- it's gonna happen no matter what.

My dad has a 98 Chevy truck with the Z71 package and the whole 9 yards. He has zero scratches on it (even in the truck bed). His strategy is to look at the parking lot and find a spot far enough out so that it's not worth anybody elses trouble. He also watches for trees and never parks at the bottom of a hill if there's shopping carts to contend with. I've seen him spend 15 minutes searching for 'the' spot to park in. For some it's worth it.

It doesn't matter where you park or how you park,......there is always going to be some idiot.......
First trip to the mall with her....I parked at the complete end. The parking lot was barren....so I didn't think it would be that big of deal using two spots that far from everything.......Well I guess and this is new....Mall security can ticket your car and possibly have it towed for "improper parking". I came out and there was a ticket warning under my wiper stating if I parked that way again, my info was stored and my car could be towed. Seriously.....obviously a hater....

Second I was at a Kmart...did the same thing, Parked as far away as possible in one spot. Come out to find some kid in a rice burner hatchback doing donuts around my car.....I almost blew a gasket.
