5.0 mustang pulls HARD from 4-7k and is 200-300 pounds lighter, it is faster. I had a 2011 SS and got smoked a number of times by my buddy's 13 GT auto at the track and i have been racing for awhile. Coyote and LS3 are similar numbers so its easily feasable. Can't believe you havent ran into a 11-14 Gt yet.

Ah, somebody else with a Camaro SS and a FJR1300!
That looks like an 07. I have an 06 which is identical, except for the color, with 7500 miles on it.
Mine's a bullet!
My nephew has a Kawasaki Concours 1400 and he keeps telling me that his is faster, and I think it is, but just barely.
I keep thinking: Who cares? Mine is scary fast, a faster one will just be more scary.

I ride a R1 as well. Ive done every stupid thing you can imagine and speeds I'm not even open to tell people. A bike is a real rush but i love my Camaro for when i need a safe rush. Its a different type of fun BUT still fun nonetheless

I used to live in the Midwest. Lemme tell you...there is no better interstate to open it up than on that ride from Cincinnati to Lexington. I only had a G35 coupe then but would go for the high score on that speed sign right after the boarder every time. Wish i had my Camaro up there

Ive ran across them and I even owned one but never have raced one flat out and I guess thats why I dont see what you've seen with both of these cars. If you tried anything crazy around here in Naples both cars would be impounded and both drivers locked up for sure...

Tell me about it, I still get surprised by the pull in the car. Had a buddy of mine that wanted a ride in my car, in a stadium parking lot we were driving around, there is a very long (probably a mile long) stretch, and I hammered it in first gear, my buddy is every bit of 6'3" and 300 pounds made this sound that was a mix of a giggle and all of the air leaving his body, after the drive he admitted he never thought that car would launch like that and was surprised by the power.

When some of you get older you will understand that speed is a matter of money, how fast you wanna go?

For 20k you can get catapulted off a USS Carrier in a F-18/Hornet. NOTHING will match that. You gonna do that everyday?

I am still on the fence as far as serious mods on my car, but it's so amazing and fun right now. And I get to hang out on C5.

I completely agree. I don't imagine doing much, if anything at all, to increase HP. I'm pretty content where I am. If I need more, I'll save my pennies and movie to a Z.

It was funny, though....tonight I went to Cracker Barrel to dinner with a friend. There was a huge storm and a lot of heavy rain. As I left, the front porch was filled with 20-30 people waiting for the rain to let up. My car was some distance away, glowing at night with it's purple LEDs. I could hear various people mumbling about the car, the lights, etc. I run out to hop in the car and drive it to the porch to pick up my friend, and everyone just stops what they're doing and they stare at the car. I've never seen so many heads turn at once while driving the Camaro. It was hilarious. I guess it was the combination of the black car, the shine, the purple leds, and the fun weather. Normally, I'm not comfy with that much attention, but I felt momentarily proud and happy that others saw the beauty that I see
