It's still baffling to me why any dealer would knowingly put 87 octane into a car that they should well know demands 91+ And what's worse it that this seems to be more than just a fluke occurrence.

U crazy man! The car is advertised at 4.7 0 to 60, that is what we are paying for and that is what we should get.

I have 5,500 miles on my Camaro now and I can tell you there is a huge difference in how it ran for the first 3,500 miles and how it runs now. I have always ran 93 octane gas and bought it primarily at the same location since I got it. I am not sure why, but it is like it was running in some sort of a conservative mode until somewhere around 3,500 miles and it is even better now. It even sounds better than before. My LS3 M6 feels 20% faster now than when it was new I am very happy with it at this point; I hope you see the same results after you get some miles on your cars.

Weird... I've read several posts here from guys that complain about the LS3 performance. My L99 was explosive from day one. Makes me wonder why the LS3 owners are saying this...

Try down-shifting when you are getting on it.

I'm not sure Sunoco gas is doing this everywhere in the country but in PA Sunoco is using 10% ethanol in their gas. Is anyone using this mixture and if so, how is it affecting the performance of your Camaro?

I absolutely love the power of my LS3.

Per the manual, I haven't taken it above 4000 RPM yet but if you are riding with me and I give it a little gas, you will have an "SS" on the back of your skull for a day or two. Mine seems to have monster power and 1500 miles can't get here soon enough.

it's the big heavy wheels.
has anyone tried a comparison back to back with smaller lighter wheels?
my guess is it would not only feel faster, but maybe gain 3-5/10ths.

What's your elevation?

I'm at 4000' elevation. After getting used to the power, which is more than I have ever had, I went down to sea level and was blown away by the increase in power.
