This is great. Can't wait for the track results.
Looks like there would be planty of room for a thin water to air intercooler under there?

I have to correct myself from earlier, I was smoking one TIRE, not both. During my drive back to work I found the area I did that test at. This wasn't from a brake stand, it was from rolling into the throttle like you would at the track.
This open differential is pissing me off, I need to get that 1LE already. |

Looks like good news.
Its weird how these open diffs sometimes spin both tires and sometimes just one.. one mark is so not cool! I need to get a stock SS diff setup together. |

This weekend I won't be able to test, rain all weekend. Will keep an eye out to see if I can get luck, just need 2 runs, but next Friday looks like it will be the test.

This weather is making me mad because this is one weekend my wife will actually be able to go to the track with me, it is fun with her there.
One station is saying Sunday it will be raining in the afternoon, so as long as it doesn't rain Saturday and postpone the Buick vs Ford event they have going on, I can do the test on Sunday. I want to get into the 12's before this year is out, that was my goal at the start of the year. |

I've got a lot of people asking me if I plan on selling "kits" to put an LFX intake onto the LLT engines. Everything to do this is all available as off the shelf parts from GM, anyone get order it themselves either at a local dealer, or any online discount gm parts store. Here is what you would need:
2012 Camaro Upper intake manifold 2012 Traverse Lower intake manifold piece 4ea bolts that hold the upper and lower intake together 2012 Traverse intake gasket kit The 6 bolts from the Camaro that hold the intake assy to the engine 2012 Camaro Purge solenoid 2012 Camaro purge solenoid hardline 2012 Camaro PCV (the catch can) hardline 2012 Camaro MAP sensor (just to plug the hole, or you can make your own plug and not buy that). GM list price is close to $900 for all of these parts, if you shop around online, plan on spending between about $625 and $700 depending on where you get the parts from. |

That's the problem with it being all GM parts, especially if you buy new. I've been telling people to check ebay, and junkyards for the big dollar pieces (the upper and lower intake manfold)... It could make it much cheaper to do the swap.

I like the idea, too bad it so freakin ugly. if it was a couple hundred, sure, but for 700-900, not worth it for the v6. it may help forced induction though if it flows better and keeps cooler.

Considering people were paying ~$500+ for a "Stage IV" ported LLT intake manifold that (supposedly) doesn't perform as good as a bone stock LFX manifold, might as well spend a little more and have something that works. Track times will tell for sure if it actually really would be worth it or not.
As far as looks are concerned, I personally prefer it over the LLT intake. |
