Yeah, but they (Summit) also had an original ship date of early December when msd first announced them. Even though MSD clearly stated at SEMA that the earliest release wouldn't be until January. The first released was supposed to be the ls7.

It's possible that a miscommunication between Summit and MSD led Summit to believe that they'd be able to release them in December instead of January. If MSD announced at SEMA that they are released in January, then that's what I'd go with.

Maybe the LS7 version was supposed to be released in Dec and LS3 in Jan. I'm only speculating here, but I'm going to go with the Jan time frame personally.

Hey, I hope everyone in here is right. I know Jason from tsp has said the same release times as everyone else in here. I just don't want anyone to be disappointed when they already paid for an item. Either way, can't wait to see some results on a ls3.

No updates as of yet, still waiting on mine to come in. But I did see on Summit's website yesterday it now says estimated ship date is "5/5/2015"!!!! I bet, just like the rest of the intake manufacturers, MSD must have had a set-back in production on these intakes. I'm waiting to hear back from them with what is going on.

Hate to say I told you so. I read about the various release dates that MSD had announced at SEMA and they stated that the LS7 would be released first. I believe that the LS3 intake was one of the last ones to be released(I believe MSD said sometime in April). That was why I was irritated at Summit for baiting customers when they most likely KNEW that they wouldn't be released until later.

I just had a thought. I wonder if through their testing that MSD found that the LS7 intake manifold had the most horsepower gain and the LS3 not so much? That would explain why the LS7 will be released first. You would think the sales of the LS3 style intake manifold would generate way more sales and recover more of their R&D costs at a much faster rate. Then again I could be totally wrong.
