Its the next best thing to having a convertible. When I was shopping around for my Camaro, a sunroof was top of my list of must haves. Wouldn't of bought the car without it. On a warm sunny day like we had this weekend, driving with the windows down, sunroof open and music loud with my son was awesome.

Its all about personal preference.

Im 6'1 and ordered my 1LE with out the sunroof. sat in one with the sunroof and couldnt find a position tha ti felt comfortable in without my head rubbing the roof. My wife finds the stick shift to be a bigger problem for head room!! Thank god for tilt steering

I'm 6'2". 2SS with sunroof. My head touches and can be uncomfortable sometimes. I wish it didn't have it, but I got such a good deal on the car, I couldn't pass it up.

The difference in seats is the Recaros.

Aside from that, it's all been covered before...with the same answers.

As with many cars, you compromise...or get a different car.

I removed the plastic spacer above the headliner (upside down ice tray) to add some head room. This can be done from the sunroof opening without removing the headliner.

Also lowered the steering column because with seat reclined for optimum head clearance, I could not comfortably reach the top of the steering wheel. This helps a lot but reduced gage visibility.
You know what the upside down ice trays are? They are energy absorbing material to protect your noggin in a crash. Removing them ain't the best idea.

I'm sure you could also get a couple more inches of diagonal headroom by removing the roof rail air bags, but I wouldn't recommend that either.

6'-4" with sunroof. Hair rubs roof and can get annoying at times. Doubt I could fit a helmet in there.

Took some gettin used to the steering wheel position. I like it to be a little closer to me than its closest setting. I considered trying to space it out some how.

6'5 - 2SS/RS

No issues, if my hair is static then it may brush the roof until I pat it down.

Im 5 11 218lbs. I find my car fits me perfect with the sunroof. If I wear a hat the bill sometime bumps the trim on the sunroof ..but it isn't to bad.

2012 2SS/RS; I like to sit at about 90 degrees & close to the dash:
5'10" + sunroof = no real issue, about the width of my finger clearance (7/8")
5'10" + sunroof + helmet = issue
I have "solved" the issue by buying a lower profile helmet (HJC AR-10 SA2010), moving the seat back just a little, & leaning the seat back just a little. I purchased the helmet from RaceDaySafety.com after comparing all of the helmets that they handle.
