Every time I almost convince myself to get one, I read a thread where someone is having issues throwing codes, or whatnot.... would love one, like everyone else, but dont want any issues down the road... still on the fence...

Or am I the only person who doesn't give a shit about that VTT that clicked on this thread?
You're not the only one. It's a simple gimmick item that tricks the computer into thinking the throttle is pushed more than it is. At least that's my take on it.

That said, if it increases low end throttle response and still maintains warranty, for 180 I guess it would suffice until a true dyno tune can be done.

I'm not Palmer, but I'm using them both. No problems. Just plug them in and go. Easy as can be and a lot of fun.

I'm no longer a c5 owner (cts coupe performance). After reading all these reviews, I guess I'll take the bait and try it as well. I know I spent more $ on other mods that didn't necessarily live up to the hype.

Fingers crossed!

Pull the trigger. You will love it! And yes... I have the Range AFM Deactivation device and the VTC. Range stays plugged in all the time (unless the car sits for more than 4 days - which is rare) and I'm always in Sport Mode. The VTC stays set on SP05. The result is: the beast is there whenever I want it. Can't believe the awesome difference. This car is now faster and responds much more quickly than it ever has.Do it... just do it!

IDK, maybe I will give it a try. The throttle response is the one thing about this car that I found a little dissapointing considering it has an LS3. Everything about the power and torques numbers appears to the contrary, but it seems like it needs a little more grunt at the low end.

A true dyno tune will not increase throttle response the way vtc does. Read some more.

Any VTC topics are mostly filled with 3 types of posts.

(1) Those who have it and love it.
(2) Those who don't have it, and post in what ways they think the item isn't very good (in that what it does is just a work around trick/non-tuning).
(3) The few who have issues, who are vocal (understandably) which seems to raise concerns for those posting (2).

The poll shows that even those who have it, love it. I'd imagine the folks who have had their CEL go off voted. So it's like nobody who's experienced it doesn't like it. That's pretty crazy, for any product.
